Actress Christina Hendricks, known for her role in the television series Mad Men, has tied the knot with camera operator George Bianchini after a glamorous three-day celebration in New Orleans. The couple met two years ago and were engaged in 2021.
Wedding Venue Full of History
The couple's wedding ceremony took place in the renowned Napoleon House, a historical venue in New Orleans which was once the residence of former city mayor, Nicholas Girod. Girod was known for providing sanctuary to Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile in the early 19th century.
Rock Star Officiation
The wedding was officiated by none other than Shirley Manson, the iconic lead singer of rock band Garbage. This was amidst the presence of seventy-six attendees, a notable one being Matthew Weiner, the creator of Mad Men.
The Wedding Theme
The pair chose a ‘Southern Gothic with Dutch masters' theme for their wedding, indicating their shared love for goth and art. Christina, who was responsible for the wedding plans, did so while juggling the filming of her latest Sky TV series, Small Town, Big Story, in Ireland.
A Weekend of Festivities
The three-day wedding event didn't just include the ceremony. Guests were entertained with a range of activities including an eerie ghost tour in the French Quarter, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of New Orleans.
Her Second Marriage
This is the second marriage for Christina, who was previously married to actor Geoffrey Arend between 2009 and 2019. Despite this, she emphasizes the romance and commitment within a marital union and cherishes the joy of celebrating with close friends and family, making lasting memories.
