Aleppo:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device wounded five civilians near Al-Sharia school in the city of Jarabulus.

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Media Center stated that four elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army were killed in an operation conducted by the group in Afrin region. Full statement by the Media Center;

Within the scope of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age in occupied Afrin, our forces continue their operations against the Turkish invasion army and its jihadist mercenary allies.

On September 3rd, our forces carried out a successful action in the Mariamin village of Afrin’s Shera district, targeting a military vehicle belonging to the Liwa al-Shamal mercenary fraction. As a result, all 4 mercenaries in the vehicle were killed. Their names are as follows: Abdoulkarem Shihade (from Homs), Dibo Ismail (Aleppo), Omer Heshesh (Idlib) and Muhammed Mustafa (Menagh).

Also, concerning the operations that had been carried out by our forces on the night of September 3rdin Afrin city center and in the countryside of Afrin’s Sherawa district and which resulted in the death of 15 mercenaries, including a commander Ahmed Semir Brier, we have been able to confirm that 4 soldiers of the Turkish invasion army were killed. We couldn’t share this detail in our previous press release because the exact number of the killed Turkish soldiers wasn’t yet clarified.

‘Wrath of Olives Operation Room’ executed an element of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army’s Al-Jabhat al-Shamiya (Levant Front) near Azaz in northern Aleppo.

Hama:

Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) released a statement announcing destruction of a Syrian Arab Army’s T-72 tank with an anti-tank guided missile near Jorin camp in Al-Ghab Plain region.

Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir blew up Al-Tuwaina bridge and once again blew up Beit al-Ras bridge in Al-Ghab Plain region. Beit al-Ras bridge was previously targeted by the group on 31st of August.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and allies captured several positions from the Islamic State in Tell al-Safa area in eastern Al-Suwayda. Syrian Arab News Agency released a report regarding the event;

Syrian Arab Army units continued to advance in their operations to take out the remaining Daesh (ISIS) pockets in al-Safa hills deep in the Badiya (desert) of Sweida province.

SANA’s correspondent said that army units and supporting forces advanced from several directions and established control over more rocky slopes and vantage points at the outskirts of al-Safa hills following violent clashed with Daesh that left many terrorists dead.

The correspondent said the Syrian Air Force and artillery units targeted fortified positions of Daesh terrorists, killing a number of snipers while other terrorists fled to more difficult terrain.

The correspondent said that army units have fortified their positions and deployment, maintaining a tight perimeter around al-Safa hill, preventing an attempt by terrorists to sneak towards a military position west of hills and eliminating them.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 24 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed two camps in Shirin Tagab and Qaysar districts.

Residents of Barka area in Qaysar district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The aforementioned area consists of more than 300 families and was previously under the control of the Afghan Local Police.

Badakhshan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed three and wounded two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Argu district.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 elements of the Islamic State in Chawkay district.

Kabul Province:

Two suicide attacks targeted a sports facility in Qalah-e Nazar area of western Kabul. Reports suggest that at least 20 individuals were killed and 70 wounded, including five journalists.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 35 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Jani Khel district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qala i Naw district.

Ghor Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Saghar district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khogyani district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed and wounded 22 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali, Jerashk, Marjah, and Lashkar Gah districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan national Army’s military base in Yakchal area of Nahri Saraj district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were killed, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and two wounded in the encounter.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maywand district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Sara Baghal area of Maywand district.

CJTF-OIR:
