Aleppo:

Left over Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) improvised explosive device exploded in a residential building in Al-Ashrafiyah neighborhood of the city of Afrin. According to the reports, the explosion caused the building to collapse, reportedly killing one and wounding at least one civilian, while five or six civilians were still trapped under the rubble.

Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Maghawir Ertughtul claimed responsibility for the yesterday’s assassination attempt on the spokesperson of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Manbij Military Council, Shervan Derwish in the city of Manbij. Yesterday’s report about the rebel “guerrilla” group Harakat al-Qiyam conducting the attack on Derwish was false. The report was based on the facts that the group was recently active in Manbij area against the Syrian Democratic Forces’ elements and recently put up a poll (now deleted) on its Twitter account asking people to vote on who should be the next target of the group, with most votes favoring Derwish over the other Syrian Democratic Forces’ official.

Al-Hasakah:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed two civilians in the Syrian Democratic Forces-held village of Al-Rawiyah, near Ras al-Ayn.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery shelled Douma in the East Ghouta. Reports suggest that nine civilians and an element of the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets) were wounded by the shelling.

Evacuation of Faylaq al-Rahman’s elements and their families from Arbeen in the East Ghouta to Idlib continued today. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, 2700 individuals, including 590 rebel fighters were evacuated from the East Ghouta today.

Iraq

Baghdad:

Iraqi Security Forces conducted operations in Al-Sharifat area, south of Baghdad. Security forces found 21 left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive devices.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Chaghrabalaq, Barg Ali, Turkmen, and Mlayan villages of Pashtun Kot district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan Air Force conducted air raids over the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s positions in Archi (Dasht-e Archi) district. The air raids killed Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Zulfiqar and two other elements of the group, as well as wounded seven elements and destroyed three fighting positions and a headquarters.

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chah Ab and Yangi Qala districts.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and seized a vehicle loaded with 22 improvised explosive devices in Baharak and Kuf Ab districts.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Suzma Qala district.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s checkpoint and killed one policeman in Dawlat Shah district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State and destroyed three bases in Achin district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Ghani Khel district, killing one and wounding two policemen.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded one element of Haqqani Network, as well as destroyed a vehicle in Zurmat district.

Khost Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nadir Shah Kot district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated an element of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ in the city of Khost.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated an element of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ in the city of Ghazni.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two vehicles in Pusht Rod district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 14 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud and Chora districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nahri Saraj district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Army’s vehicle on the road towards Herat Province in Haji Abdul Aziz area of Jerashk district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two Afghan National Army’s commanders and seized a vehicle, as well as two pistols.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Police’s vehicle in Parchaw area of Nad Ali district. Similarly, Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier was destroyed by an improvised explosive device in Haji Iqbal area of Jerashk district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army in Nad Ali and Jerashk districts.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Police stated that the villages of Galdish, Qadiabad, Qandahari Qashalaq, and Wadi Nouvabad were completely cleared from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s presence.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
