Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;

On July 20th the invading Turkish Army and their affiliated jihadist gangs attacked Merenaz, Maliki, Shevarikha villages of Shera town by the use of Haubitzer artillery. Under the rain of artillery fire, they wanted to proceed forwards to the vicinity of Merenaz. Under those circumstances, clashes broke out between our forces and the enemy which lasted for more than 6 hours. Our fighters repelled all attempted attacks of the enemy. As a result of the clashes, 5 jihadists of the El Shimal Brigade and Jabha al-Shammiya groups and a further 6 were injured. 3 Turkish soldiers were also injured.

Simultaneously, the invading Turkish Army and their jihadist gangs fired artillery at civilians until the hours of night. Because of this, huge material damages were inflicted on civilian houses in the villages of Shevarikha, Maliki and Merenaz.

Unknown gunmen killed an element of Al-Rai police on the road between Al-Rai and Tuwairan.

Raqqa:

Unknown explosion wounded two civilians in Al-Intifada district of Raqqa city.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and the Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Kafr Nabl (Kafranbel), Saraqib, Ariha, and Khan Sheikhun. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), nine civilians were killed and 21 were wounded by the targeting. Media activist and member of ‘The White Helmets’, Anas Diab, was also killed by the targeting of Khan Sheikhun.

Hama:

Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izzah destroyed a Syrian Arab Army’s 2S1 Gvozdika with an anti-tank guided missile on Al-Jadidah front.

Deir al-Zour:

Unknown gunmen killed an individual in the village of Al-Shuhail in eastern Deir al-Zour.

Afghanistan

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and arrested three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Qarabagh district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s post in Shah Baith area of Adraskan district. Two elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and six were wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nahri Saraj district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Security Forces’ armored personnel carrier, killing and wounding seven elements in Marjah district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
