Idlib:

Unknown gunmen assassinated Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s commander, Hassan Khaled Ajaj near the village of Tell Mannas (Telminnes), east of Maarat al-Numaan. Similarly, unknown gunmen kidnapped and killed Ahrar al-Sham’s commander, Abu Khaled Mashon near the city of Sarmin. Reports claimed that elements of Jund al-Aqsa prepared an ambush for Mashon, kidnapping him and then killing him.

Improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) near the city of Jisr al-Shughur. Two elements of ‘Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’ were wounded in the incident.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army and rebel factions held a 12-hour ceasefire, in order to discuss reconciliation between the two parties in the governorate. After the truce expired, the Syrian Arab News Agency stated that Ibtaa, Dael, Taiba, Saida, Umm al-Mayazen and Naseib joined reconciliation with the Syrian government, after the rebel fighters in the localities decided to hand over their weapons and settle their situation. Several reports also claimed that Bosra al-Sham and Samad accepted reconciliation. Syrian Arab Army also reportedly captured Tell Zumaytiyah, Umm Walad, and Al-Sheikh Saed from rebel factions.

Free Syrian Army’s Quwa Shabab al-Sunnah disabled a Syrian Arab Army’s tank with a TOW anti-tank guided missile on Jbeib front.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Dah No area of Juma Bazar, destroying three armored vehicles, as well as killing and wounding eight soldiers. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed in the encounter.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed Afghan National Army’s commander Abdul Haq, also wounding two of his guards in Bazar area of Ali Abad district.

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chah Ab district.

Laghman Province:

Afghan National Security Forces arrested five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alingar district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khogyani district.

Logar Province:

Two Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices targeted an Afghan National Police’s vehicle and a foot patrol in Shabir Afghan area of Mohammad Agha district. Two elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and two wounded by the explosions.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed Afghan National Army’s commander Naem (Sang-e Marmar) in Do Sheikh area.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s post in Karez Alyas area of Gulran district. One element of the Afghan National Army was killed and four wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, an RPG launcher, and five assault rifles from the post.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized a vehicle in Andar and Ab Band districts.

Paktika Province:

Five elements of the Afghan National Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Muhammad Khel area of Sharana district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed an Afghan National Police’s armored personnel carrier in Bazar area of Farah Rod, killing commander Zaman and five other elements of the police. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized the armored personnel carrier and five assault rifles.

Afghan National Police’s element defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Farah district, handing over a vehicle, two pistols, and three assault rifles to the group.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s vehicle in Atghar district. Similarly, an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s Kamaz truck in Seyyio Motarano area of Shahr-e Safa district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Ordu Balagh area of Shah Wali Kot district, as it was on its way towards the capital of Urozgan Province, Tarinkot. According to the reports, an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier was destroyed, as well as five soldiers killed and wounded in the attack.

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
