Aleppo:

Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s (Syrian National Army) Faylaq al-Thalith (Third Corps/Legion) entered the city of Al-Bab and mediated the dispute between Ahrar al-Sharqiya and Al-Waki family. The two parties reached an agreement, which states that Ahrar al-Sharqiya will retreat from the neighborhoods of Al-Bab. Both sides will also hand over individuals involved in clashes between the two.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham killed Hurras al-Deen’s legal official, Hussein Ali al-Jawish (Abu Aqba al-Kurdi (al-Ansari)) at Abu Atba checkpoint near Al-Ikarda in southern Aleppo. The incident occured when Al-Jawish failed to stop at the checkpoint and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s elements opened fire on his vehicle killing him. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham reportedly detained the element who killed Al-Jawish and is currently under investigation, until Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Hurras al-Deen decide on a court that will handle the case. Hussein Ali al-Jawish was reportedly a supporter of Al-Qaeda in Syria, similar to several individuals in Hurras al-Deen’s Shura council.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen killed two elements of the Turkistan Islamic Party on the road between the villages of Hattan and Barisha.

Hama:

Fourth batch of evacuated rebel elements and their families from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem south of Damascus arrived at Qalaat al-Madiq crossing in western Hama. The batch reportedly consisted of around 1757 rebel elements and civilians, who will be transferred to camps for internally displaced persons in Idlib governorate.

Homs:

First batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from the Northern Homs pocket, towards northern Syria. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that more than 62 buses carrying fighters and civilians left the aforementioned localities towards northern Syria.

Damascus:

Fifth batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem south of Damascus, towards northern Aleppo. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that more than 60 buses carrying fighters and civilians left the aforementioned localities towards northern Syria.

Syrian Arab Army and allies made advances in northwestern part of Al-Hajar al-Aswad and in Yalda against the Islamic State. Syrian Arab Army reportedly captured over a dozen of buildings, including Al-Shafei mosque, ‘Computer Technology High School’, and Al-Yabani hospital. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency released a statement claiming that 20 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and a ZSU-23-4 (Shilka) damaged during clashes between the two at the outskirts of Al-Hajar al-Aswad and Al-Yarmouk camp.

Daraa:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that five rebel fighters were killed by an RPG in the city of Sheikh Saed, north of Daraa.

Al-Suwayda:

Improvised explosive device wounded a civilian on a road near the village of Ariqah.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Almar district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s post in Sahray Kala area of Juma Bazar district. Four elements of the Afghan National Army were killed, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an armored vehicle, a PK machine gun, two assault rifles, and large quantities of ammunition from the post.

Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and three elements of the Afghan Local Police were wounded during clashes between the two in Kolyan area of Bilchiragh district.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded four elements of the Afghan National Police in Shortepa district.

Badakhshan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a major post from the Afghan National Army in Kohistan district, reportedly killing and wounding several soldiers.. Kohistan’s governor, Qurban Mohammad was reportedly wounded in the encounter.

Laghman Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alishang district.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked several Afghan Local Police’s posts in Surkh Rod district. Six elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and five wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and another wounded in the encounters.

Paktia Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in the city of Gardez, killing three and wounding three soldiers, as well as destroyed two vehicles and an armored vehicle.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Ahmad Abad district, killing one and wounding two soldiers. Ahmad Abad’s governor, Hazrat Mohammad Rodwal was also reportedly killed in the incident.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted an Afghan National Army’s patrol in Band Sharam area of Ab Kamari district, killing one and wounding two soldiers.

Afghan National Army’s element defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sang Atish district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements in Aziz Abad area of Shindand district. Two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and one wounded, while the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized six assault rifles from the encounter.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that 17 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and 20 wounded during three-day long clashes in Ghazni and Andar districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked several Afghan Local Police’s posts in Qarabagh district, killing seven and wounding nine policemen in the process.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored vehicle in the city of Ghazni, killing one and wounding three soldiers.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bala Buluk district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 18 and wounded 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud and Tarinkot districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Daychopan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Loye Sharah area of Seuyrie district. Afghan National Army’s commander, Tore and two elements of the army were killed, while another two soldiers were wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a vehicle in Sangin, Jerashk, and Nad Ali districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan engaged Afghan National Security Forces trying to advance in Nad Ali district and reportedly destroyed two armored personnel carriers, as well as reportedly killed 13 elements.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Shingul Charrahi area of Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed five elements of the Afghan National Army in Nad Ali and Jerashk districts.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maruf district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s base in Salsun area of Maruf district, reportedly taking control of two base’s towers. Eight elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and an armored personnel carrier destroyed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also ambushed Afghan National Army’s reinforcements heading towards the attacked base, destroyed a supply truck, two pickups, an armored personnel carriers, as well as killing 22 and arresting eight elements. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and another wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four PK machine guns, two RPG launchers, 13 assault rifles, and five pistols from the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Mamor Sahib Chwak area of Zhari district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Islamic State’s fighters assassinated a member of the ‘National Intelligence and Security Agency’ near Bakara market in the city of Mogadishu, capital of Somalia.
