It was a quiet day in Raqqa city, without reports about neither Syrian Democratic Forces or Islamic State making advances against their counterpart. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency claimed death of 10 SDF‘s fighters due to clashes with IS in Al-Barazi and Al-Rumaliyah districts.

VBIED exploded on the road connecting Darkush, Ain al-Zarqa, and Jabal Wastani areas. Explosion took place as a pickup carrying a group of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s fighters was passing by. As a result, six Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s fighters were reported as dead and another three injured.
Syrian Arab Army made advances against the Islamic State east of T3 airport and pumping base. Reports suggest that SAA advanced more than 70 kilometers (43 miles) east of the airport and, among the other things, captured Bir al-Jafeef, Bir al-Buwaydah and Al-Dulayiat.
Syrian Arab Army launched a new attack on Ain Terma front, several blocks of buildings were reportedly captured, resulting in SAA reaching the outskirts of Ain Terma bridge. The attack was supported by Syrian Arab Air Force, which launched at least four air strikes on rebel positions in the area. Furthermore, rebel positions were targeted by three ground-to-ground missiles.
VBIED exploded in Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid-held Jamlah village while it was being processed by the members of the group.
According to the reports, around 30 Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid’s fighters were killed over the course of two days in failed attacks against rebels in Hayt. The village of Hayt was besieged by Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid on the 23rd of June.
Rebel “Daraa Martyrs Documentation Office” reported death of three Free Syrian Army’s fighter due to clashes with SAA in and around Daraa and Madinat al-Baath. Confirmed rebel death tolls from the clashes in Daraa (since the 3rd of June) and Madinat al-Baath are at 57 and seven fighters, respectively.
Iraq Joint Operations officially announced Al-Mashahedah, Bab al-Bayd and Ras al-Jadah neighborhoods in Old Mosul as completely captured by Iraqi forces from Islamic State. Furthermore, Iraqi Federal Police captured Al-Zewani mosque in Old Mosul.
Heavy clashes are ongoing between Iraqi forces and Islamic State in Al-Shafaa district, west Mosul. Around the medical complex in Al-Shafaa Iraqi soldiers destroyed IS’ SVBIED. According to Amaq, 15 Iraqi troops were killed during the clashes in the the aforementioned district and Al-Mashahedah neighborhood.
Islamic State reactivated Al-Hadher front, southwest of Mosul, with an attack on Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s (Popular Mobilization Units) positions north of the city. The attack reportedly resulted in death of four Al-Hashd al-Shaabi fighters and injury of several others.
West of Mosul, Islamic State also attacked the village of Al-Boer, reportedly killing 11 Iraqi soldiers and destroying six vehicles.
Islamic State detonated several explosive devices in Anbar governorate, today and yesterday. In the center of Fallujah, VBIED targeted gathering of Iraqi forces, killing six and wounding 14 other soldiers. Two improvised explosive devices targeted areas north of Al-Ramadi, in Al-Budhiab three soldiers were reportedly killed. The other explosion occurred in Al-Buweli al-Jasm area, allegedly killing a commander.
Islamic State’s improvised explosive device reportedly killed three and wounded two Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s fighters in Al-Mansouriya area, Al-Muqdadiya district.
On the 26th of June 2017 CJTF-OIR has conducted 27 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Raqqa region where they did 18 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying 13 fighting positions, two vehicles, a VBIED, a home-made explosives factory, and an IS headquarters; and damaging two fighting positions.
Other areas where nine airstrikes occurred are Abu Kamal (Al-Bukamal), Al-Shadaddi and Deir al-Zour, destroying two IS well heads, four vehicles, a tactical vehicle, two bunkers, two pump jacks, a front-end loader, an IED factory, an IS financial facility, and an IS headquarters. Amaq reported that the Islamic State’s groups in the city of Marawi destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to the Philippine Army. The vehicle was destroyed with a rocket-propelled grenade in Marinot district.
