‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full statement released by the group;
Since the evening of August 08, the Turkish occupation forces shelled the inhabited villages in the Shera district especially the villages of Marnaz and Al-Malikiyah with artillery and mortar shells. Clashes took place between our forces and the Turkish occupation soldiers and mercenaries in the village of Marnaz, which belongs to the district of Shera, where one of our fighters was martyred after he showed heroic resistance against the occupation and its mercenaries, where we will reveal his record in detail in the coming period.
In response, our forces carried out a specific operation targeting a military base of the Turkish occupation near the areas of clashes in the district of Shera, which resulted in the death of a number of Turkish soldiers, we were unable to determine the number of wounded and dead. Helicopters hovered over the area of Afrin to transport the dead and wounded.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham shelled Al-Khalidiyah, Al-Mukambo, and Al-Izaa neighborhoods of Aleppo city. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, six civilians were wounded by the shelling.
Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over the village of Al-Bawabiyah in southern Aleppo. Reports claimed that eight civilians were wounded by the air raids.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Turkistan Islamic Party repelled a Syrian Arab Army’s attack on Kabani front in northern Latakia. Reports claimed that around 40 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and wounded in the failed attack. Four elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and two elements of the Turkistan Islamic Party were reported as wounded in the clashes.
Sar-e Pol Province:
Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Masjid-e Safid area of Sancharak district.
20 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces reportedly defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Baghlan-e Markazi district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Zafar Khel and Nawi Norak areas of Qalat district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 16 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and five armored personnel carriers were destroyed in the attacks.
