Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted three operations against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full statement released by the group;

On 21 July, our forces carried out three military operations targeted three points of the Turkish occupation soldiers in the village of Gobelê, the center of the city of Afrin, where the three points were destroyed and killing 4 Turkish soldiers and wounding 5 others.

Rebel factions shelled Al-Hamadaniyah and Al-Jamiliyah neighborhoods of Aleppo city. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, seven civilians were killed and many were wounded by the shelling.

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device wounded 14 civilians at a market in the city of Jarabulus. Similarly, a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle of Turkish İHH (İnsani Yardım Vakfı (Humanitarian Relief Foundation)) in the city of Akhtarin. The explosion killed a member of İHH and wounded another member, as well as wounded a civilian and a member of Akhtarin’s local council.

Idlib:

Russian Air Force and the Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Maarat al-Numaan, Saraqib, Khan Sheikhun, Kafr Nabl, and several other localities. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), 27 civilians were killed and more than 80 were wounded by the air raids over Maarat al-Numaan.

Damascus:

Islamic State’s improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle near Al-Islah mosque in Al-Dahadil area of Al-Qadam district, Damascus city. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency claimed that the explosion killed an element of the National Defense Forces and wounded a commander. However, according to reports, the explosion killed one civilian and wounded several, including an official of the National Defense Forces, Iyad Diob.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen killed an element of the ‘Air Force Intelligence Directorate’ near Al-Mithlath, north of Khirbet Ghazala.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran an Afghan Local Police’s post in Kolyan area of Bilchiragh district. Five elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and three were wounded in the encounter.

Kunar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that the group took control of Kuran wa Mujan district from the Afghan National Security Forces.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khas Urozgan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two elements of the Afgan National Security Forces in Sanzari and Eshaqzo areas of Delaram district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
