Syrian War Daily – 10th of June 2019

Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted three operations against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full statement released by the group;

On June 9th our forces effectively carried out an operation against a military base of the Turkish army in the village of Meryemine in Shera town. As a result, 2 Turkish soldiers were killed and 5 Turkish soldiers were injured in the attacks carried out by our forces.

On June 9th our forces targeted a base belonging to the Turkish-backed jihadist group by the name of Jabha al-Shamiyya in Velat El Qadi village of Shera town. As a result 4 terrorists of the mentioned group were killed and 3 were also injured.

On June 9th our forces targeted a military vehicle carrying fuel for the Turkish-backed jihadists in Meryemine of Shera town. The vehicle was destroyed by our forces but we were not able to confirm information on casualties.

At least 7 soldiers and Turkish-bakced jihadists were killed and 10 injured by our forces as a result of the mentioned operations in Afrin and Azaz.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Maar Shurin, Jabala, Kafr Batikh, Khan Sheikhun, Al-Tamaneh, Arinbah, and several other localities. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), at least five civilians were killed and 31 were wounded by the air raids.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen killed a civilian in the city of Jalin in western Daraa.

Afghanistan

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 43 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) during operations in Sherzad district.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan destroyed three Afghan National Security Forces’ positions in Tasan area of Deh Yak district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 30 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and two armored personnel carriers were destroyed in the encounters.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Musa Qala district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Dab Khakrez area of Khakrez district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 30 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and five armored personnel carriers were destroyed in the attack.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
