Syrian War Daily – 29th of May 2019

Hello and welcome to the 804th installment of the SWD.

Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and the Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Khan Sheikhun, Al-Bara, Siraj, Al-Habit, Arinba, Al-Sheikh Mustafa, Kafr Sajna, Al-Naqir, Kansafra, and several other localities. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), at least ten civilians were killed and more than 11 were wounded by the targeting.

Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Nasr (Army of Victory) shelled Al-Suqaylabiyah, Qumhana, and Salhab in northern Hama. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, one civilian was killed and seven were wounded by the shelling.

Afghanistan

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran an Afghan National Security Forces’ military base in Yaka Toth area of Rabat-e Sangi district. Four elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were reportedly killed and four were captured in the encounter.

Urozgan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Chato Pul area of Deh Rawud district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
