‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (Millî İstihbarat Teşkilatı (MİT)) in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;
The forces said in a statement that revealed the outcome of the operation that “on April 22, after tracking operations during the last period, one of our groups carried out a special military operation targeted a joint headquarters of the Turkish intelligence MIT and the intelligence of the so-called” National Army “mercenary in the city of Azaz.
It pointed out that “the operation led to the killing of two elements of intelligence, one of them named Abu Omar, who is responsible for the Syrian issue in the Turkish intelligence center in Syria.”
The forces reported that seven other elements were wounded, including serious cases.
Improvised explosive device wounded two elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Asayîş (Security) on a road near the village of Al-Sahabiya.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham conducted anti-Islamic State operations in the villages of Masibin and Al-Nayrab. According to reports, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrested ten elements of the group, while four elements detonated themselves during clashes between the two.
Islamic State attacked Syrian Arab Army’s positions near Al-Jalaa, Al-Sayal, and Hasrat in eastern Deir al-Zour. Reports claimed that several elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and three were wounded in the attack.
Unknown gunmen killed a former commander of the Free Syrian Army, Ibrahim Ghazlan (Abu Hamza al-Amuri) near Al-Omari mosque in Daraa al-Balad district of Daraa city.
Afghan Ministry of Defense didn’t release any reports regarding Afghan National Security Forces’ operations across the country.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) ambushed and killed an element of the Afghan National Security Forces in Qadis district.
Four elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ab Kamari district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed an Afghan National Security Forces’ foot patrol in Gelan district. Five elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and three were wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was also killed in the encounter.
CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
