Hello and welcome to the 748th installment of the SWD.

Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;

On April 1, one of our groups detonated an explosive device at a gathering of the mercenaries of the so-called al-Jabha al-Shamiyya in the vicinity of Kafr Khashr village of Azaz area, where the killing of a mercenary and wounding two others were confirmed.

Raqqa:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed two civilians in Al-Dareia neighborhood of Raqqa city.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery shelled Al-Hawija, Al-Hawash, Kafr Zita, Al-Ankawi, and several other locations in northern Hama. Reports claimed that five civilians were reportedly killed and 17 wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned locations.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen opened fire on a civilian vehicle and killed one civilian on the road between Al-Yadoudah and Kharab al-Shahm. Separately, unknown gunmen wounded an individual accused of cooperating with Hezbollah in the village of Al-Harak.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and arrested five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Qaysar district.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 15 and wounded 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as cleared several villages in Arghanj Khwa district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Three elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Raghistan district.

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 26 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Murghab and Jawand districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles and two motorcycles in Andar, Giro, and Qarabagh districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly killed at least 20 and wounded four elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in an ambush in Qarabagh district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and arrested five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two weapons depots and ammunition caches in Marjah and Sangin districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and destroyed an Afghan Local Police’s vehicle, killing four elements in Zarh Sahib area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district.
