Unknown gunmen killed one and wounded one element of the Syrian Democratic Forces at Tell Athman checkpoint in western Raqqa.
Syrian Democratic Forces officially announced that the Islamic State has been defeat and also announced full control over Al-Baghouz area in eastern Deir al-Zour.
Improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle transporting media personnel of the American NBC television network in the village of Al-Baghouz. Driver of the vehicle was killed and other members of the team were wounded in the incident.

Unknown gunmen killed a former element of the Free Syrian Army in the city of Al-Muzayrib. The element recently joined the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division after signing a reconciliation agreement with the Syrian government.
Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Qaysar district.
Two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Dawlat Abad and Qaysar districts.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group took control of 45 Afghan National Security Forces’ military posts and three valleys (consisting of 127 villages), during operations which lasted for five days in Nijrab district. Al-Emarah News stated that 18 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and 13 were wounded in the operations.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed three elements of the Afghan National Army in Andar district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed six elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Chora and Tarinkot districts.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Security Forces’ checkpoints in Mobile Khada and Majid Chawk areas of Sangin district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 52 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and 11 were wounded in the encounters.
CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
