Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;

Our forces continue their qualitative operations against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Afrin and its environs, leaving more mercenaries killed and wounded in the mercenaries’ ranks.

In this context, on February 22, our forces detonated an IED at Turkish occupation’s mercenaries at the environs of Azaz’s Kaljibrin village.”

A military vehicle was destroyed and one mercenary killed, and 4 others were wounded.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen assassinated a commander of Jaysh al-Ahrar, Abu Bilal al-Qanas in front of a mosque in the village of Al-Muqbila in southern Idlib.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army reportedly conducted a military operation against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in northern Aleppo, killing and wounding several elements, as well as destroying two vehicles. Syrian Arab News Agency released a report regarding the event;

A unit of the army on Saturday carried out special military operations against terrorist dens and movements in Hama northern countryside in response to their continued violations of the de-escalation zones agreement.

SANA reporter said that a unit of the army struck a terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra organization in the surrounding of Ma’arkaba village in the northern countryside.

The reporter added that the military operation ended up with the killing and injuring of a number of terrorists and destroying two vehicles in addition to a quantity of weapons and munitions.

The reporter said that the army units destroyed rocket launching pads for terrorist groups with artillery strikes in the surroundings of al-Latamina, Kafar Zeita, and Mourek in Hama countryside.

The reporter indicated that an army unit destroyed fortified points for the terrorists in the surroundings of al-Habeet village, 20 km southeast of Ma’ret al-Nouman in Idleb.

Afghanistan

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Bazar area of Ghoryan district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 11 and arrested ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Andar district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Tarinkot district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two fighting positions, a motorcycle, and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Sangin district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Parchawi area of Nad Ali district.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ghorak district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Nesh and Maywand districts.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
