Hayat Tahrir al-Sham made large advances against Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) in western Aleppo. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured one of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’s strongholds, Regiment 111 military base, as well as Anjara, Kafr Naha, Al-Hutah, Rehal Association, Khan al-Assal, Arab Fattoum, and Babis. Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir withdrew to its last stronghold in western Aleppo, Qubtan al-Jabal. The remaining elements of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir in western Aleppo reportedly opened negotiations with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, in order to safely evacuate from the area towards areas under the control of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo.
Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement announcing two operations against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;
Our forces continue their military operations with various methods against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Afrin as the enemy’s forces are dealt harsh blows.
On January 1, one of our groups carried out a qualitative operation against the mercenaries of the occupation in Kebbashin village in Sherawa district as two mercenaries were seriously wounded.
On January 2, our forces carried out another military operation from two axes in the surrounding of Mare’ town as they attacked the mercenaries’ points and fierce clashes broke out and lasted for about 30 minutes. The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation attempted to repel the attack launched by our fighters through using armored vehicles and heavy weapons, but they failed. Furthermore, three mercenaries were killed in the operation and another one got wounded.

Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir reportedly captured Tell Manas east of Maarat al-Numaan from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrested two commanders of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Nasr, Captain Muammar Khattab and Duraid al-Najm (Abu Bassam) in the city of Khan Sheikhoun in southern ldlib.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) Al-Emarah News stated that seven elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the group in Lawlash and Almar districts.
Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed seven, wounded three , and arrested five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as cleared over a dozen of villages from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s presence in Nijrab district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed five and wounded three elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Nijrab district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle in Zurmat district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded 22 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Murghab district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed four elements of the Afghan Local Police in Ab Band district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Haqqani Network, as well as destroyed a vehicle and a motorcycle in Surobi district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a motorcycle in Nad Ali and Sangin districts.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Loy Manda and Dabaro Qulf areas of Nad Ali district.
Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 25 and wounded 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Shah Wali Kot and Khakrez districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces near Shier Agha checkpoint in Khak Chopan area of Maywand district.
