Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a statement announcing group’s operations against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Several reports claimed that the ‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ is ‘rebranding’ of the ’Wrath of Olives Operation Room’. Full statement released by the group;

One of our squads assaulted simultaneously a number of the military points of the Turkish-backed terrorists in the vicinity of Mare’ city on 19th of December. The operation resulted in killing about five terrorists and wounding several others.

On the same day and near to Azaz city, our team targeted a Turkish-backed mercenary with sniper fire, killing him.

Our squad planted an explosive device at the headquarters of the Sultan Mohamed Fatih Brigade in Afrin city center on 20th of December. No clear information could be obtained about the number of killed and wounded terrorists.

Our team targeted with an explosive device a joint patrol conducted by the Turkish army and the Hamza Division mercenaries while they were driving the road that connects Marate village with Afrin city center. The action resulted in killing one Turkish soldier and one mercenary.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham reportedly opened fire on a civilian bus, killing one and wounding one civilian at a group’s checkpoint on the road towards Bab al-Hawa border crossing between Syria and Turkey. According to reports, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham opened fire on the bus after it failed to stop at the checkpoint.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 19 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed two motorcycles in Qaysar, Pashtun Kot, and Shirin Tagab districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that 20 elements of the Afghan National Army and Afghan Local Police defected to the group in Baraka and Arghanj Khwa districts.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 29 and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar and Qarabagh districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy on its way from Obi to Pashtun Zarghun district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah, six elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and 20 wounded, as well as four armored vehicles and a Kamaz truck destroyed in the attack.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted an Afghan National Army’s foot patrol, killing three and wounding one soldier in Tazi area of Shah Joy district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
