Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:

Aleppo:

Free Syrian Army’s Liwa al-Shamal (Northern Brigade) seized a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device and arrested several individuals at a checkpoint in the village of Al-Haljuni. The VBIED and individuals were on their way towards the city of Jarabulus.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Air Force’s targeting of Khirbet al-Naqus wounded an element of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front).

Deir al-Zour:

Syrian Democratic Forces continued clashing with the Islamic State in Qalaat neighborhood at the southern outskirts of Hajin city, with reports that the former managed to fully secure nearby Abu al-Khatir from the latter.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen assassinated a former commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Jabhat Thuwar Suriya (Syrian Revolutionaries Front), Abu Yazen al-Khalidi in the city of Tafas.

Afghanistan

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) Al-Emarah News stated that 18 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces defected to the group in Chahar Bolak district.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded five elements of the Islamic State in Dara-I-Pech district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic State in Khogyani district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle in Shindand district.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Shalgar district. Separately, an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army, killing three and wounding four soldiers in Gelan district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mizan district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly arrested an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander and wounded two elements of the group in Marjah and Garmsir districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two elements of the Afghan National Police in Tori Shah area between Jerashk and Sangin districts.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 14 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a motorcycle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Maywand district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
