Improvised explosive device exploded near a Faylaq al-Sham’s headquarters in the city of Jinderes. One individual was reportedly injured by the explosion. Separately, a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted a headquarters of the Free Syrian Army’s Firqat al-Sultan Murad (Sultan Murad Division) in the city of Afrin. However, the explosion only caused material damage.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham reached an agreement ending clashes between the two in western Idlib and northwestern Hama. According to the agreement, both sides will release detainees and maintain status quo regarding each group’s-held territory in the area.
Syrian Democratic Forces’ Media Center released a report regarding three day-long clashes with the Islamic State on Hajin front;
In the context of the continuation of the battle to defeat terrorism in order to eliminate the remnants of IS organization in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, strong clashes broke out between our fighters and IS terrorists. After the latter’s attempt to attack our fighters’ points using armored vehicles and the Dushka, our fighters managed to thwart the attack, destroyed an armored vehicle and killed a number of terrorists.
The coalition aircraft targeted terrorist sites and destroyed several fortifications.
In another axis, our fighters were able to kill more than 20 terrorists, destroy the 23-caliber Dushka weapons and capture Hummer and Dushka after strong clashes broke out with the terrorists.
The terrorists tried to attack the points that were fixed by our fighters using heavy weapons, armored vehicles and indiscriminate shelling with mortars, but our fighters resisted the attack and killed the attacking gang and destroyed their vehicles.
Coalition aircraft also destroyed several terrorist positions, vehicles and command centers.
In Hajin axis, violent clashes broke out between our fighters and terrorists who used various types of weapons, including mortars, heavy weapons and armored vehicles, in which a number of terrorists were killed. Our fighters managed to advance 3 km and fix 61 points after breaking the lines of defense and fortifications of terrorists during strong clashes which lasted for hours.
International Coalition aircraft carried out several raids on terrorist gangs and cut off the supplying lines.
Our fighters also confronted a convoy of 40 vehicles used by terrorists, including armored vehicles and vehicles loaded with Dushka weapons, and managed to intercept the rocket, killing 228 terrorists and destroying a number of vehicles.
All the axes witnessed intermittent clashes until the moment of preparing this outcome.
Our forces managed to secure the exit of more than 1,000 civilians, mostly children and women, and to secure their access to the safe areas and to provide all necessary and urgent assistance to them.
Final Outcome of Clashes:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency claimed that the CJTF-OIR‘s air raids and shelling of Hajin city reportedly killed 25 and wounded 17 individuals.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran an Afghan National Army’s post in Pashtun Zarghon district. Four elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and eight arrested in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, an RPG launcher, and ten assault rifles from the post.
Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 72, wounded two, and arrested 17 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nawa, Gelan, and Khogyani districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Balodad area of Arghandab district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Army in Surkh Sang area of Arghandab district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed 15 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Jerashk, Nad Ali, and Lashkar Gah districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that 24 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed in Nad Ali and Jerashk districts.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly killed 25 and wounded dozens of elements belonging to the Afghan National Security Forces in an attack on a military base in Chinar area of Shah Wali Kot district, according to the group’s Al-Emarah News. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and two wounded in the same encounter.
CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
