Aleppo:

Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh Halab al-Shahba’s (Jaysh Ibna al-Shahba according to some) and Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’s (National Liberation Front) shelled Syrian Arab Army’s positions in Al-Zahraa district, western Aleppo city. Syrian Arab Army responded to the shelling by targeting Free Syrian Army’s positions in the aforementioned district.

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Media Center claimed that three elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army were killed in two operations conducted by the group in Afrin region. Full statement by the Media Center;

Within the scope of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age in occupied Afrin, on October 2nd our forces carried out two separate operations in Afrin’s Rajo and Bilbile districts, targeting the mercenary allies of the invader Turkish state. Details of the actions are as follows:

1.On October 2nd, one of our units carried out a sabotage action, targeting a military vehicle of the Hamza Division (Second Regiment) on the road to the Haj Khalil village of Rajo district. As a result, a vehicle was destroyed, two terrorists were killed and three others wounded.

2.On the same day, our unit ambushed one of the mercenaries of the Sultan Murad Division (First Regiment) on the road to the Shekhorze village in Bilbile district. As a result, the terrorist was killed.

Unexploded ordnance wounded two civilians near the village of Tell Bajar in southern Aleppo.

Deir al-Zour:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted a Syrian Democratic Forces’ vehicle in Hayahi district of Gharanij city. According to the reports, five elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces were killed and two civilians wounded by the explosion.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and allies reportedly made additional limited advances against the Islamic State in Tell al-Safa area. Syrian Arab News Agency released a report regarding the event;

Army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, continued to advance in various directions in the depth of the rocky cliffs in Toloul al-Safa area in Sweida Province, inflicting heavy losses upon Daesh (ISIS) terrorists.

SANA’s reporter said that the army units established control over new areas in the depth of the rocky cliffs surrounding Toloul al-Safa area in which Daesh terrorists’ remnants are positioned, following heavy clashes with them, killing and injuring several of the terrorists, among them snipers.

In parallel, the Syrian air and artillery forces directed concentrated blows against the terrorists’ positions and their centers in the rocky cliffs near Qaber al-sheikh Hussein and the depth of the area, eliminating many of the terrorist and destroying their positions.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran an Afghan National Security Forces’ post close to Juma Bazar district’s administration center. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that 16 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two PK machine guns and ten assault rifles from the post.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Achin and Khogyani districts.

Badghis Province:

Residents of Tagobisth area in Jawand district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The aforementioned area consists of more than 300 families, under the leadership of commanders Mahboob and Arbab Ghulam Sakhi. The two commanders reportedly handed over more than 100 machine guns and other equipment to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Paktika Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Haqqani Network in Gomal district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shah Joy district.

Two elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Babo Killi area of Naw Bahar district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali and Garmsir districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed seven elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Jerashk and Marjah districts.
