Aleppo:

‘Wrath of Olives Operation Room’ killed a member of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army’s Faylaq al-Sham in an operation conducted by the group in Bulbul subdistrict of Afrin. Full statement by the ‘Wrath of Olives Operation Room’;

In another reprisal against the mercenaries, our fighters carried out the killing of a mercenary in the ranks of the mercenaries of al-Sham Corps in Khilalka village of Bulbul district on 12/09/2018.

The mercenary, who participated in the invasion of Afrin and caused the displacement of its people, was given a fair punishment by our fighters, where the fate of all remaining mercenaries in Afrin will be similar to his fate.

“We confirm in the Wrath of Olive operations room that our fighters are present in all the areas of Afrin and its villages, and they are doing what they have to do to get rid of the mercenaries, as their operations are still ongoing.

Raqqa:

Syrian Democratic Forces arrested four individuals on the charges of belonging to the Islamic State in the village of Hawi al-Hawa, west of Raqqa city.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted positions of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-izza at the outskirts of Hesraya village, reportedly killing a number of elements. Separately, the Syrian Arab News Agency stated that the army clashed with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Turkistan Islamic Party near Al-Hweiz.

Damascus:

Israeli Air Force targeted Damascus International Airport and its vicinity with several missiles. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, the Syrian air defenses downed a number of missiles, while explosions were heard in the vicinity of the airport.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and allies made additional limited advances against the Islamic State on Ard Qaa al-Banat front, northwest of Tell al-Safa. Syrian Arab News Agency released a report regarding the event;

Army units in Sweida advanced more along the line of Ard Qa’a al-Banat to the northwest of Toloul al-Safa and established control over more areas in the depth of the rough cliffs after fierce clashes with Daesh terrorists. The army killed scores of terrorists including 10 snipers.

SANA reporter in Sweida said Saturday that the advance in the aforementioned line allows the army units to establish control by fire of the last water pool utilized by the terrorists, clarifying that the army units consolidated presence in the controlled areas.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Topkhana area of Dawlat Abad district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, more than 15 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and wounded, as well as three armored vehicles destroyed in the attack.

Kunar Province:

Four elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Wata Pur district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two motorcycles in Zurmat district.

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Muqur district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two and overran one Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Aab Bakhash area of Qadis district. Five elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, two assault rifles, and a motorcycle from the checkpoint.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shindand district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarabagh district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan downed an Afghan Air Force’s helicopter with an RPG in Darnaj area of Khaki Safed district. Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that five military personnel were killed in the incident.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Gunakhan area of Farah district. Six elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and wounded, while three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shah Joy and Daychopan districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran three Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Lwargi area between Naw Bahar and Shinkay districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that 20 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in the encounters.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Nbo Aka Karez area of Sangin district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Nad Ali and Jerashk districts.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed Shamulzayi district’s head, Mohmand Nasratyar in Aino Mina area of the 11th Police District in the city of Kandahar.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
