Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Media Center stated that two elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army were killed in an operation conducted by the group in Afrin region. Full statement by the Media Center;

Within the scope of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age in occupied Afrin, our forces continue their operations against the Turkish invasion army and its jihadist mercenary allies.

On September 9th, our units carried out a successful operation, targeting a military vehicle of the Sham Legion (Faylaq al-Sham) in the Sterk village, located near the city center of Afrin. As a result, the vehicle itself was completely destroyed, while both of the mercenaries inside of the car were killed. In addition, two AK-47 were seized.

The names of the killed mercenaries are as follows: Khaleed al-Feyiz (from Hama) and Massoud al-Faris (Idlib).

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted Jarjanaz, Haish, Al-Tamaneh, and Al-Tah in southern Idlib. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), 14 civilians were wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned localities.

Improvised explosive device killed two elements of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) on the road between Khan Sheikhoun and Maarat al-Numaan.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and allies’ positions near Qalaat al-Madiq, Jabal Shashabo, Al-Lataminah, and Kafr Zita in northern Hama. Syrian Arab News Agency released a report regarding the event;

Units of Syrian Arab Army targeted dens and sites for Jabhat al-Nusra and terrorist groups affiliated to it in a number of towns located in the administrative border between Hama and Idleb provinces, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in ranks and arms.

SANA’s reporter in Hama said an army unit carried out artillery strikes targeting the movements of a terrorist group on the road linking Qalaat al-Madiq and Shahshabo Mount in the far northwest of Hama, killing or injuring all the group’s members.

Terrorist Khaled al-Hussein aka “Abu Walid” was identified among the killed terrorists.

The reporter said that a number of terrorists’ dens and rocket launching pads were destroyed due to the army’s strikes on their fortified positions in the towns of al-Latamina and Kafer Zita in the northern countryside of Hama.

In the southern countryside of Idleb, terrorists in al-Habit town in Khan Shaikhoun area have suffered significant losses in arms and personnel as a result of army’s operations against their fortified points.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army arrested 15 individuals suspected of belonging to the Islamic State in the village of Atman, north of Daraa. One of the 15 arrested individuals is the former commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Tajammu al-Wiyat al-Omari, Fares Adib al-Baidar, who reconciled with the Syrian government earlier this year.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran a base and five Afghan National Security Forces’ posts in Chahar Toth area of Pashtun Kot district. Ten elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were reportedly killed and nine wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounters.

Jowzjan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan took control of Khamab district from the Afghan National Security Forces, according to the Jowzjan Provincial Council.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly seized Balghali area in Sar-e Pol district from the Afghan National Security Forces, after overrunning a dozen of bases and posts in the district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly killed at least 11 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces, as well as seized ten vehicles and 11 heavy machine guns.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two elements of the Afghan National Army and seized three motorcycles in Khwaja Mirza area of Saghar district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar, Qarabagh, and Muqur districts.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Farah district.

Urozgan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s centers in Spin Misjid area of Tarinkot district. According to the reports, 12 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and eight wounded, while three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounters.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Bakorzo Killi area of Qalat district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Ghaliyano Zabar area of Marjah district, killing and wounding six elements.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint, killing three policemen in Khana Gardab area of Arghandab district.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 3rd and 9th of September 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 12 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 12 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying two pieces of IS engineering equipment, an IS supply route, two IS logistics hubs, an IS vehicle, an IS front end loader, an IS mortar system, an IS weapon cache, an IS staging area, and an IS command and control center.
