Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Press Office released a press release stating that the group conducted several operations against the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full press release by the Press Office;

As part of the enduring resistance against the illegitimate presence of occupying forces in Afrin and the atrocities committed by them against the people, our units continue to carry out operations targeting Turkish invasion army and its allied jihadist groups.

1. On August 30th, between the villages of Qatma and Qastal Jindou of Afrin’s Shara district, a group of mercenaries belonging to the Asafat al-Shimal brigade were ambushed by our fighters. Several of them were killed, while the number of the casualties couldn’t be determined.

2. On August 31th, another group of the terrorists carrying out combing operations were ambushed by our forces in the village of Bashamrah of Afrin’s Sherawa district. As a result, death of 3 mercenaries and wounding of 3 others were confirmed.

3. On September 1, our forces carried out an effective operattion targeting a joint patrol of Turkish troops and terrorists allied with them in Afrin city centre. As result of the operation 3 mercenaries have been confirmed dead while 3 others have been heavily injured.

Raqqa:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that an improvised explosive device killed four elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the city of Raqqa.

Latakia:

Syrian Arab Army’s shelling of Kubaynah village in Jabal al-Akrad region killed Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s commander Abu Abd al-Haqq al-Kurdi.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen assassinated two commanders of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front); Abu Wasef al-Askari and Abu Marya Idari at Nahliya intersection south of Idlib.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s positions in Khirbet al-Naqus, Turkistan Islamic Party’s positions in Al-Mashik, and Jaysh al-Izza’s positions at the western outskirts of Al-Lataminah.

Damascus:

Last night five unknown explosions targeted Mezzeh Military Airport near Damascus, causing an ammunition depot to explode. Unconfirmed reports claimed that the targeting was conducted by the Israeli Air Force, however, it remains unconfirmed for now.

Afghanistan

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) improvised explosive devices targeted an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Dur Baba districts. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were reportedly killed in the explosions.

Two elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nazyan and Ghani Khel districts.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 21 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nawa and Andar districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten, wounded four, and arrested one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a camp and four motorcycles in Tarinkot district.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Bara Khel Killi area of Shah Joy district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Garmsir district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Nayazo Seraie area of Nesh district.

Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with a vehicle and two rifles in Gulzaman Bazar area of Maywand district.

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
