Aleppo:

Unknown gunmen opened fire on civilians at the main market in the city of Jarabulus in northern Aleppo. According to the reports, two civilians were wounded in the incident.

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) ‘Wrath of Olives Operation Room’ killed an element of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army’s Firqat al-Sultan Murad (Sultan Murad Division) near the village of Jalama in Afrin region.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen targeted a Syrian Democratic Forces’ checkpoint in the village of Al-Salhibiyah, northwest of Raqqa. One element of the Syrian Democratic Forces was killed and another wounded in the incident.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen ambushed a group of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’s (National Liberation Front) elements in southern part of Saraqib, as they were arriving from Kafr Nabl (Kafranbel). According to the reports, an element of the Free Idlib Army and two elements of Jaysh al-Nukhba were killed, as well as three elements wounded in the incident.

Unknown gunmen killed an element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham at one of the group’s checkpoints in the village of Afs, east of Idlib.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 70 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed four vehicles and 50 motorcycles in Bilchiragh and Gurziwan districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group overran Chilgazy district’s administration center, nearby Afghan National Police’s headquarters, two military bases and 12 surrounding checkpoints from the Afghan National Security Forces.

Kunduz Province:

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed one and wounded three elements of the Afghan Local Police, as well as destroyed two vehicles in Pol-e Khomri district.

Nangarhar Province:

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured an Afghan Local Police’s military base in Qarabagh district, reportedly killing six policemen in the process. Additional six elements of the Afghan Local Police were captured by the group in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized eight assault rifles, three PK machine guns, and a DShK heavy machine gun from the base.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khaki Killi area of Shah Joy district.

Nimruz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Delaram district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as found and destroyed 18 improvised explosive devices in Nad Ali, Sangin, Jerashk, and Lashkar Gah districts.

Kandahar Province:

Several Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices targeted an Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy coming from Ghanigi base towards Nesh district. The explosive devices reportedly destroyed five supply trucks and ten armored personnel carriers.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 13th and the 19th of August 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 13 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 13 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying four IS lines of communication, two IS vehicles, two IS command and control centers, an IS command and control support facility, five IS supply routes, and an IS logistics hub.
