Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) ‘Wrath of Olives Operation Room’ killed an element of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Samarqand on the road between Qara Kobri and Dudiyan in northern Aleppo.

Raqqa:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded one civilian in Aman al-Dawla neighborhood of the city of Raqqa.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency announced assassination of an element of the Syrian Democratic Forces near Al-Mansoura in western Raqqa.

Idlib:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’s (National Liberation Front) headquarters in Jabal al-Arbein near the city of Ariha. The explosion killed two elements of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir, including commander / official, Abdu Radwan al-Bakri (Abu Talha) from Kafr Rumah. Additional two elements of the front were wounded in the incident.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham released seven individuals, who were arrested on charges of promoting reconciliation with the Syrian government in Maaret Hurma and Al-Naqir on 15th of August.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted positions of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza in Morek, Abu Obaida, and Markaba in northern Hama. Similarly, the army’s artillery targeted Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s positions near Tell al-Sakhr and Kafr Zita.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed five motorcycles in Almar and Ghormach district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group conducted operations against the Afghan National Security Forces in Chaqmaq, Borguli, Sara Meyasht, Chaqar Balaq, and Guldara areas of Pashtun Kot district. According to Al-Emarah News, the group overran two Afghan National Security Forces’ bases and five checkpoints in the aforementioned areas, while six elements of the security forces were killed and six wounded, while 20 elements reportedly surrendered to the group.

Four elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Taijam area of Almar district.

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shortepa district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 14 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed 50 improvised explosive devices in Char Dara district.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Arghanj Khwa district.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Four elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kal Sokhta area of Sar-e Pol district. The elements handed over a PK machine gun, three assault rifles, and two motorcycles to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic State in Khogyani district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded 12 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles in Muqur and Andar districts.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed seven motorcycles in Bala Buluk district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 20 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as found and defused four improvised explosive devices in Jerashk and Nad Ali districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s patrol in Khushal Killi area of Nad Ali district, killing six soldiers and destroying two armored personnel carriers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed and wounded five elements of the Afghan National Army in Parchawi area of Nad Ali district.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle in Maruf district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements in Mandozo area of Maywand district. Six elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in the ambush.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
