Idlib:

Improvised explosive device targeted a Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s vehicle at Al-Kara roundabout in the city of Idlib. The explosion wounded Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s official, Abu Bakr al-Rawi and another element of the group.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham executed six elements belonging to the Islamic State’s sleeper cells in Idlib governorate. The elements were arrested in security operations conducted by the group and were executed on charges of being involved in assassinations and improvised explosive devices attacks.

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s positions in Umm al-Khalakhil, Tell Mari, Al-Khuwayn, and Tell al-Shih in southern Idlib.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery targeted positions of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza in the village of Markaba in northern Hama. Syrian Arab News Agency also claimed that several rebel fighters were arrested at western and southern outskirts of Al-Lataminah.

Afghanistan

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) seized an Afghan National Army’s post in Dashti Qala district. One element of the Afghan National Army was killed and five wounded in the encounter.

Badakhshan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded three elements of the Afghan Local Police in Arghanj Khwa district. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounter.

Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Warduj district.

Baghlan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed and wounded 11 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Burka district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan Local Police’s elements in Pol-e Khomri district. Seven elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed in the ambush.

Nangarhar Province:

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar and Qarabagh districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s post in Qarabagh district, reportedly killing seven and wounding five soldiers in the process.

Paktika Province:

25 elements of the Afghan National Police and Afghan Local Police defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Waza Khwa district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded 8 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bala Buluk district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded 22 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qalat district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s post in Qalat district, reportedly killing 15 policemen in the process. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and three wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded 17 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Jerashk and Lashkar Gah districts.

Afghan National Security Forces conducted a raid on the headquarters of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s figure, Mullah Abdul Qayum in Kashmish village of Kajaki district. Eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and one arrested, as well as 1800 kilograms (3968 pounds) of explosive materials destroyed in the raid.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
