Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Media Center stated that ten elements of the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army were killed and 20 wounded in operations conducted by the group in Afrin region. Full statement by the Media Center;

Within the scope of the resistance in Afrin, our units continue to target the occupying Turkish army elements and their allied terrorist groups. The invaders suffered heavy blows as result of the operations by our forces.

On August 12, our forces have targeted Turkish troops and Firqat Hamza terrorists with two separate bombing operations on the road leading to the Tirandah neighborhood in Afrin city center. 10 terrorists have been eliminated, at least 20 others have been injured as result of the operation. Unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the occupying Turkish army flew over the area of operation for six hours.

Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Ahrar al-Shamal announced its integration into Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front). Liwa Ahrar al-Shamal operates in Anadan in northern Aleppo and consists of; Katibat Muhammed Salum, Katibat al-Shahid Ali Balu, Katibat Suqour al-Shamal, Katibat al-Shahid Rabih Hamsho, Katibat Thuwar al-Shamal, Katibat al-Mubashireen, Katibat al-Shahid Khader Hamsho, Katibat Maghawir Anadan, Katibat Fursan al-Shamal, Katibat al-Shahid Abu Salmu Shaghal, Katibat al-Shahid Ahmad Alu, and Saraya al-Shahada.

Improvised explosive device wounded six civilians near Omar ibn al-Khattab mosque in Al-Sarb neighborhood of Manbij city. Separately, an improvised explosive device wounded Free Police’s head of a police station, Ahmed al-Maksour and another element of the police on the road between Al-Atarib and Kafr Naseh. The explosion occurred as the police attempted to defuse the improvised explosive device.

Raqqa:

Islamic State’s improvised explosive device damaged a Syrian Democratic Forces’ vehicle, killing three and wounding two elements near the village of Rtala in southern Raqqa.

Al-Hasakah:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that an improvised explosive device destroyed a Syrian Democratic Forces’ vehicle, killing three elements near the village of Al-Fadghami.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Al-Tamaneh and Al-Azizah areas in southern Idlib. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), four civilians were killed and three wounded by the air raids over the aforementioned localities.

Three elements of Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) were killed by the Syrian Arab Army’s shelling over Al-Khuwayn in southern Idlib. Separately, the Syrian Arab News Agency stated that the army’s artillery targeted Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s positions in Sarja, Umm Rijm, Al-Tah, and Al-Tamaneh, reportedly killing a number of elements, including commander Khaled al-Wazer (Abu Obada).

Syrian Salvation Government’s Prime Minister, Mohammed al-Sheikh resigned from his position in the government.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham conducted security operations in Maaret Hurma and Al-Naqir, targeting individuals who promote reconciliation with the Syrian government. According to the reports, nine individuals were arrested in Maaret Hurma and four in Al-Naqir.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division reopened Al-Suqaylabiyah- Qalaat al-Madiq crossing between areas under the control of the Syrian government and rebel-held areas, after it was closed three days ago. The crossing was closed when the Russian Military Police reached it, in order to assist the Syrian Arab Army.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 18 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) and destroyed a vehicle in Gurziwan and Ghormach districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran six Afghan Local Police’s checkpoints in Guldara and Chaqar Balaq areas of Pashtun Kot district. Two elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed in the encounters, while four elements surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Kunduz Province:

Kabul Province:

Suicide attack targeted Dashti Barchi area in the city of Kabul. Afghan Ministry of Public Health stated that at least 48 individuals were killed and 67 wounded in the attack.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Oghuz village of Deh Bala (Haska Meyna) district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded 20 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Lori and Pearlak areas of Jani Khel district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Khost Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Haqqani Network and destroyed a vehicle in Sui village of Nadir Shah Kot district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed eight motorcycles in Khaki Safed district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s element infiltrated an Afghan National Army Commando Corps’ checkpoint in Khwaja Khizar area of Bala Buluk district. The infiltrator killed two ‘commandos’ before seizing four assault rifles and joining nearby elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Zarghon Killi area of Nad Ali district. Four elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed in the encounter. Separately, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s post in Nawrozo area of Nad Ali district, killing and wounding five policemen in the process.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Arowgh area of Khakrez district, with reports that the convoy is still trapped in the area. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that four Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carriers were destroyed, as well as 15 elements killed and four wounded in the attack. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
