Aleppo:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device wounded two civilians in the village of Basouta in Afrin region.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen attempted to assassinate Syrian Democratic Forces’ commander, Abu Daham in Al-Akirishi village west of Raqqa. Abu Daham was wounded, while an element of the Syrian Democratic Forces accompanying him was killed in the incident.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrested a Syrian government’s cell, consisting of three individuals. The cell reportedly operated in Sarmada and Idlib, participating in improvised explosive device attacks, as well as conducting espionage and promoting reconciliation with the Syrian government.

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device exploded near Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s Al-Ram checkpoint on a road towards Maarat Misreen. The explosion killed an element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, who was attempting to dismantle the explosive device.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army and allies captured Al-Shajara, Tell Isharah, Al-Jeryan, Asarah and Mariyah in Al-Yarmouk basin from the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid. After today’s advances, the Syrian Arab Army is in full control of the border with Israeli-held Golan Heights.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Jalguldi area of Almar district. Separately, an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Tor Takol area of Shirin Tagab district.

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly cleared Namak Ab district from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s presence. According to the reports, six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and dozens wounded during battles for the district.

Kabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chahar Asyab district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and arrested two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khogyani district. Separately, an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan surrendered to the Afghan National Security Forces in Bati Kot district.

Islamic State killed one and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Hazarnau area of Momand Dara district. Separately, the Islamic State killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Kol Dara village in Chaparhar district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Zurmat district.

Ghor Province:

Five commanders of the Afghan National Army; Ziauddin, Fazal Ahmad, Muhammad, Hayatullah, and Abdul Wali, as well as 60 other elements of the army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Dawlina district. The elements handed over 50 assault rifles, two RPG launchers, and four PK machine guns to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five, wounded eight, and arrested six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored vehicle, killing four soldiers in Murcha area of Deh Rawud district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 14 and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed four fighting positions and defused four improvised explosive devices in Nad Ali, Kajaki, and Sangin districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that a tunnel bomb targeted a strategic Afghan National Army’s military center in Tangi area of Kajaki district, reportedly destroying the center, as well as killing and wounding 16 soldiers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Army in Namro and Momin Khan Charrahi areas of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed Afghan National Army’s commander, Sadique in Dabaro Pul area of the 9th Police District in the city of Kandahar.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Sro Chahano area of Shorabak district.

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Maruf district.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 23rd and the 29th of July 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 11 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 11 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying four IS supply routes and an IS fighting position, as well as damaging four IS lines of communication.
