Aleppo:

Last night, the Israeli Air Force targeted Syrian Arab Army and allies’ positions in the vicinity of Al-Nayrab military airport, east of Aleppo. Syrian Arab News Agency confirmed that the targeting took place, however, also stating that only material damage occurred. Reports suggest that five elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in the targeting, which was reportedly supposed to strike Iranian ‘Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ and affiliated militias.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham executed two elements of the Islamic State on a farm near the city of Sarmin.

Hama:

First batch of rebel elements and their families were evacuated from the rebel-held areas of the city of Daraa and arrived at Qalaat al-Madiq crossing in western Hama. The batch reportedly consisted of around 430 rebel elements and civilians, who will be transferred to camps for internally displaced persons in Aleppo and Idlib governorates.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army and allies fully captured Zimrin and Masharah, as well as Al-Harra, Tell al-Harra, Al-Tayhah, Aqraba, Simlin, Khirbet al-Maliha, Umm al-Awsaj, and Tell Masharah in northern Daraa from rebel factions.

Free Syrian Army’s commander of Firqat Ahrar Nawa’s Liwa al-Shahid Abu Ghadab, Omar Naem Abu Kharoub (Abu Islam) was killed in clashes with the Syrian Arab Army and allies.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 18 and wounded 22 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed 20 motorcycles and an ammunition depot in Khwaja Sahib Posh district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Afghan National Army’s commander Ziauddin and four other elements of the army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Tordi Kala area of Gurziwan district.

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shor Tepa district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 34 and wounded 11 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chardara district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Ghani Khel district, reportedly killing eight elements in the process.

Khost Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alishir district.

Badghis Province:

Ten elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the villages of Chapa, Maryam Chesham, Tangi March, Naqalo, and Debash in Barki district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Chishma area of Shindand district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine and wounded 17 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed four vehicles and four motorcycles in Shib Koh district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shah Joy district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed one and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Musazo area of Shah Joy district.

Helmand Province:

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Neyazo area of Nesh district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group released 47 elements of the Afghan Local Police, who surrendered to the group in Salsun and Bad Nawi areas of Maruf district. The elements were released after they vowed not to join the ranks of the Afghan National Security Forces again.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 9th and the 15th of July 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 11 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 11 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying three IS logistics hubs, four IS fighting positions, two IS vehicles, three IS supply routes, and two IS-held buildings.
