Aleppo:

17 elements of the Islamic State escaped from a Faylaq al-Sham’s prison in Jindires subdistrict of Afrin. According to the reports, Faylaq al-Sham was able to arrest 15 elements who escaped from the prison, while the search continues for the last two elements.

Improvised explosive device wounded two elements of the ‘Free Police’ on a road near the village of Batabo.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrested Islamic State’s prominent figure, Abu al-Bara al-Saheli in Harem region north of Idlib. After being arrested, Al-Saheli was executed in Ariha on the charges of being involved in the killing of several Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s elements.

Islamic State executed two elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and left their bodies between Jarjnaz and Maar Shamarin. The two elements were kidnapped two days ago as they were traveling from Khan Sheikhoun towards Maarat al-Numaan.

Improvised explosive device wounded two elements of Ahrar al-Sham at a court building belonging to the group in the city of Binnish.

Deir al-Zour:

CJTF-OIR conducted air raids against the Islamic State over the villages of Al-Soussa and Al-Baghouz Fawqani in eastern Deir al-Zour. However, the Syrian Arab News Agency stated that the air raids over Al-Soussa and Al-Baghouz Fawqani killed 30 and wounded several dozens of civilians.

Damascus:

Improvised explosive device killed two and wounded four civilians on a road near the village of Deir Maker.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army and allies entered Nahaj, Khirbet Qais, Tafas Dam, and Ajami in western Daraa.

Al-Suwayda:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that the group attacked Syrian Arab Army’s positions near Wadi al-Mawt in northeastern Al-Suwayda. According to the agency, seven elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and military barracks burnt in the attack.

Afghanistan

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Chahar Bolak district.

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s base and several checkpoints in Darqad district, reportedly overrunning three checkpoints while the base remains besieged.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three, wounded one, and arrested one element of the Islamic State in the province.

Nangarhar Province:

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 107 and wounded 25 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three bases, two depots, and three vehicles in Zurmat and Ahmad Abad districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s base in Rada area of Muqur district, reportedly killing 13 and wounding seven soldiers in the process. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 25 and wounded 19 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a vehicle, a base, and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Pur Chaman and Farah districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Urozgan Province:

NATO-led Operation Resolute Support released a news release announcing death of ‘a U.S. service member during a combat operation in eastern Afghanistan’ on July 12. One element of the Afghan National Army was also killed and several wounded in the same incident, which reportedly occurred in Urozgan Province.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Daychopan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Zarha Norak area of Qalat district.

Helmand Province:

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 and wounded 15 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khakrez district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed three elements of the Afghan National Police in Shier Ali Karez area of Maywand district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
