Islamic State raided a Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s headquarters near Al-Ikarda in southern Aleppo. According to the reports and the Islamic State’s Amaq Agency, ten elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were killed in the raid.
Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Samarqand, backed by Firqat al-Hamza arrested four elements of Yekîneyên Parastina Gel (People’s Protection Units) in Afrin region.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham killed two elements of the Islamic State, as the latter’s elements were attempting to plant improvised explosive devices on the highway between Aleppo and Latakia near the city of Muhambal.
Syrian Arab Army and the Russian Military Police entered Zayzun and Tell Shihab, as well as Kharab al-Shahm and several points along the border with Jordan in southern Daraa.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Koy Sayyad area of Shirin Tagab district. Two elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and two wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, two assault rifles, and an RPG launcher from the checkpoint.
Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chimtal district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. One of the 17 killed elements was an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Qadratullah Zakhami.
Five elements of the Afghan Local Police, including a commander surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Akhtepi area of Qalay-I-Zal district. The elements handed over a PK machine gun and four assault rifles to the group.
Sar-e Pol Province:
Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed three fighting positions in Sayyad district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Jangle Bagh area of the city of Baghlan. Three elements of the Afghan National Army, including commander Zarghon were killed and two wounded, as well as two armored vehicles destroyed in the attack.
Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded two elements of the Islamic State in Nurgal district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State in Khogyani district.

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kushk district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar and Muqur districts.
Afghan National Security Forces killed 31 and wounded 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three vehicles and five motorcycles in Pur Chaman district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud and Tarinkot districts.
Between the 2nd and the 8th of July 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 22 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 15 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying two IS supply routes, eight IS vehicles, an IS fighting position, and an IS-held building.
Other area where seven strikes occurred is Al-Shadaddi, destroying five IS vehicles, two IS headquarters, an IS IED, and an IS logistics hub. Full report on CJTF-OIR strikes conducted in both Syria & Iraq can be found here.
