Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen opened fire on Syrian Democratic Forces’ Al-Dawar checkpoint in the village of Al-Mansourah, west of Raqqa. Two elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces were wounded, while one of the gunmen was arrested after being wounded in the encounter.

Al-Hasakah:

Syrian Democratic Forces captured the villages of Zarqa and Tuwaymin in southern Al-Hasakah from the Islamic State.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen opened fire on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s Sheikh Mansour checkpoint east of the city of Saraqib. Three elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were killed in the incident.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that an improvised explosive device wounded four rebel fighters in the village of Hazra near Al-Dana.

Hama:

Abu Amara Special Task Brigade stated that its improvised explosive device targeted an ammunition depot near a National Defense Forces’ headquarters in the city of Mahardah, northwest of Hama. Reports claimed that around 20 elements of the National Defense Forces were killed and wounded in the incident.

Al-Quneitra:

Free Syrian Army launched an attack against the Syrian Arab Army-held city of Al-Baath, north of Al-Quneitra. However, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency, the Syrian Arab Army repelled the attack on Al-Baath city.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army captured Al-Naimah and Mitayiah, as well as Nasib border crossing and several other localities near the border with Jordan from rebel factions in eastern Daraa.

Rebel ‘Central Operations Room of the South’ reached an agreement with the Syrian government backed by Russia in the city of Bosra al-Sham, regarding the future of eastern Daraa. According to the agreement, rebels will hand over their heavy weapons, while elements that do not want to reconcile with the government will be evacuated towards Idlib. The agreement also includes withdrawal of the Syrian Arab Army and allied militias from Al-Jizah, Kahil, Al-Sahwa, and Al-Masifrah, and deployment of the Russian Military Police in the aforementioned localities.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Kohistan district.

Jowzjan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two Afghan Local Police’s checkpoints in Kokaldash area of Fayzabad district, overrunning one checkpoint, while the second checkpoints remains under siege. Three elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed in the encounters.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group launched a large-scale operation against the Afghan National Security Forces in Chimtal district, reportedly capturing Ahin Kala, Asia Khan, and Sharbyo areas by overrunning ten checkpoints and a base in the aforementioned areas. Five elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and 11 wounded in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a Humvee, a pickup, and 15 motorcycles from the checkpoints and the base.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed 12 and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarghayi district. Two of the 12 killed elements were Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commanders; Lal Mohammad and Qari Safi Allah.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces destroyed an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s vehicle in Khogyani district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s officials; Bahador and Gulali, as well as three other elements of the group were killed and four wounded by the explosion.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Saydabad district.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces arrested six individuals suspected of belonging to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mohammad Agha district.

Paktia Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran several Afghan National Police’s checkpoints in Wasiq and Abdullah Kili areas of Gardiz district. Eight elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and two wounded in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized five assault rifles and a PK machine gun from the checkpoints.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 and wounded 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarabagh and Ghazni districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Ghazni district, killing nine policemen and seizing an armored vehicle in the process.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 29 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two important bases and five vehicles in Pur Chaman district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as discovered and defused 13 improvised explosive devices in Khas Urozgan and Tarinkot districts.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed Afghan National Army’s commander, Muhammad Ali in Bazar area of Shahjoy district. Separately, two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed by Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers in Musa Khel area of Qalat district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Khana Gardab area of Arghandab district, killing at least four soldiers and destroying a motorcycle in the process.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
