Aleppo:

Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s (Syrian National Army) Al-Faylaq al-Awl (First corps/legion) arrested two elements of Yekîneyên Parastina Gel (People’s Protection Units), as the latter’s elements were attempting to enter the village of Hassan Deira near Maidanki in Afrin region.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham released the director of Sarmin hospital, Dr. Mahmoud Fatih Qaq, who was arrested yesterday in Sarmin on unknown charges.

Homs:

Islamic State announced the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s son, Hudhayfah al-Badri in an inghimasi (suicide fighters) operation against the Syrian Arab Army and its allies in the governorate.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that an improvised explosive device damaged a Syrian Democratic Forces’ truck, which was carrying elements on Al-Kharafi road in northeastern Deir al-Zour governorate.

Al-Quneitra:

Improvised explosive device, allegedly planted by the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid, killed five elements of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Shuhada al-Quneitra on a road near the village of Al-Ajraf.

Daraa:

Another round of negotiations in the governorate between the rebel factions and the Syrian government backed by Russia, resulted in failure. The two sides reportedly disagreed on the rebel delivery / handover of heavy weapons to the Syrian Arab Army and allies.

Rebel ‘Central Operations Room of the South’ released a statement stating that its elements destroyed a Syrian Arab Army’s BMP and additional two vehicles with anti-tank guided missiles on Al-Tablin front.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) Al-Emarah News stated that the Afghan National Security Forces withdrew from six checkpoints in Chichakto area of Qaysar district. After the withdrawal, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly captured the checkpoints and large surrounding areas.

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ positions in Spin Masjid area of Baharak district, killing eight and wounding six elements. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four assault rifles, a PK machine gun, and an RPG launcher from the encounter.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three Pakistani elements of the Islamic State in Manogi Dara district.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Mamli Bagh area of Khogyani district. Four elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and three wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and another wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, an RPG launcher, and five assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 34 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Babous Walwazi area of Pol-e Alam district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarabagh and Ghazni districts. One of the 12 killed elements was an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Rafi.

Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shinki Killi area of Gelan district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles in Bala Buluk district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s positions in Rashid Pump area of Farah Rod district, killing four, wounding one, and arresting one element of the police. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a vehicle, a PK machine gun, and three assault rifles in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored vehicle in Haji Habibullah Pump area of Bakwa district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 37 and wounded 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khas Urozgan district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers targeted three Afghan National Police’s checkpoints in Jatano and Gardie Ghondi areas, reportedly killing four policemen.

Zabul Province:

Several Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices destroyed three Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carriers in Spin Ghbargi area of Qalat district. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle, as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Sarband area of Nad Ali district.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 34 and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles in Shah Wali Kot district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. One of the 34 killed elements was an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Ezzatollah.

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
