Al-Hasakah:

Syrian Democratic Forces reached Tell Safouk border crossing with Iraq in southern Al-Hasakah from the Islamic State, after capturing Al-Saybah village yesterday. Syrian Democratic Forces reportedly linked up with Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s (Popular Mobilization Units) Al-Liwa 29 (29th Brigade) after reaching the crossing.

Idlib:

Unknown gunmen kidnapped Jaysh al-Ahrar’s commander, Bashir Asaad in front of his house in the village of Al-Nayrab, southeast of Idlib city. Bashir Asaad is the cousin of Jaysh al-Ahrar’s leader, Abu Saleh Tahan.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s “Islamic Police” (Al-Hesba) raided and closed the private university of Ebla in the city of Saraqib. The university was reportedly closed on the charges of “spreading music” and allowing “mixing between males and females”. Reports suggest that the university will remain closed until the ruling of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s judiciary system.

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army, backed by allies reportedly took control of Al-Shamurah, Al-Madurah, Al-Alali, Berghshah, and Al-Shiyahat in Al-Lajat region from the rebel factions.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as seized three motorcycles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Shirin Tagab district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed nine and wounded three elements of the Afghan Local Police in Archi (Dasht-e Archi) district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four assault rifles and a PK machine gun from the killed elements.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Khogyani district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that 72 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the group, after the group seized 13 posts and a base in Jalrez district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 80 assault rifles, 15 PK machine guns, 15 RPG launchers, two DShK heavy machine guns, an SPG-9 recoilless rifle, 15 hand grenades, and large quantities of ammunition from the elements.

Ghor Province:

Residents of Awshan area of Shahrak district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The aforementioned area consists of around 1000 families, under the leadership of commander Nadar and tribal leader Abdul Aziz. The two leaders reportedly handed over 100 assault rifles, seven PK machine guns, and four RPG launchers to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Muqur district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed three and wounded four elements of the Afghan Local Police in Muqur district.

17 elements of the Afghan Local Police reportedly surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Muqur district.

Farah Province:

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Kamparak area of Nahri Saraj district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were reportedly killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, an RPG launcher, and three assault rifles. Similarly, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Parchwai area of Nad Ali district. Six elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded in the encounter.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 18 and wounded 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khakrez district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
