Aleppo:

Unknown gunmen assassinated Ahrar al-Sham’s commander, Abu Ali al-Babi in Al-Ghoz area near Abu al-Zindeen crossing west of the city of Al-Bab.

Al-Hasakah:

Syrian Democratic Forces reportedly captured the village of Al-Saybah in southern Al-Hasakah from the Islamic State.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrested Saad al-Hunaiti, former Islamic State’s figure / leader, in the village of Al-Dana. Al-Hunaiti was arrested on the charges of leading Islamic State’s sleeper cells in Idlib governorate and being involved in several assassinations and improvised explosive device attacks. Al-Hunaiti entered Syria from Jordan in March of 2014, shortly after pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, and then acted as a liaison between the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra. Reports claimed that Al-Hunaiti was executed by the Islamic State in October of 2015.

Unknown gunmen opened fire on a Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s checkpoint near the village of Al-Tah, south of Idlib. Two elements of Jabhat Tahrir Suriya were reportedly wounded in the incident.

Daraa:

Reports about the ‘Syrian Arab Army and allies capturing Musaykah and al-Dallafa from rebel factions in Al-Lajat area’ turned out to be false, as both localities are still under rebel control. The false reports were spread on the 20th of June.

Syrian Arab Army backed by allies reportedly captured Deir Dama and Al-Bustan in Al-Lajat area from rebel factions.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and allies reportedly captured Tell Mughir and Abu Jabal north of Khirbet al-Umbashi in northeastern Al-Suwayda from the Islamic State.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that the group ambushed elements of the Syrian Arab Army near Tell Ghanem in Al-Safa region. According to the agency, a Syrian Arab Army’s officer and around 20 elements of the army were killed, as well as two tanks and a vehicle destroyed in the ambush.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran two bases and six checkpoints belonging to the Afghan National Security Forces in Juma Bazar district. The group also blocked the highway between Faryab and Jowzjan provinces, as well as imposed a siege on Juma Bazar district’s center and Afghan National Police’s headquarters.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group killed 11 and wounded four elements of the Afghan Local Police in Imam Sahib district.

Baghlan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine and wounded 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the province.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces arrested five elements of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (Army of the Righteous) in Wata Pur district.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted ‘cleaning’ operations against the Islamic State in Alingar district, reportedly killing several latter’s elements, including three commanders; Shafi Gul, Hayat and Zahir Khan.

Nangarhar Province:

Three elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Ghani Khel district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group captured 11 posts and two bases from the Afghan National Security Forces in Jalrez district.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces arrested three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Azra district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched several coordinated attacks against the Afghan National Army’s positions in Kocha Zarda area of Ab Kamari district. According to the reports, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran three checkpoints, killing 13 elements of the Afghan National Army and forcing the remaining elements to withdraw from the checkpoints. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 12 assault rifles and 12 motorcycles from the checkpoints.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Ghormach district. Five elements of the Afghan National Police, including commander Safi Ahmed were killed and four wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two PK machine guns and four assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Jaghatu district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces destroyed three Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s vehicles and six motorcycles in Khaki Safed district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint near the police’s headquarters of Jerashk district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Police were reportedly killed and four motorcycles destroyed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun and three assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Bazar area of Jerashk district, killing and wounding four elements of the police in the process. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized three assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Zhari district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Barma area of Spin Boldak district. Five elements of the Afghan National Army and an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two vehicles, an RPG launcher, and four assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan Local Police’s vehicle in Sanzari area of Zhari district, killing commander Kati Nani and four other elements of the local police.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.

Amaq Agency:

India:

Islamic State killed one and wounded seven elements of the Indian Army, during clashes between the two in Sri Ghafawara area of Antak in the Indian Jammu and Kashmir state.
