Idlib:

Two improvised explosive devices exploded near Al-Tawhid mosque and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s headquarters at Al-Karltoun building in the city of Idlib. The explosion killed five individuals, including an element of the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), while the number of wounded varies between 11 and 34, depending on the source.

Al-Suwayda:

Rebel factions shelled Al-Nahda neighborhood of the city of Al-Suwayda. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, three civilians were killed and two wounded by the shelling.

Syrian Arab Army and allies captured Khirbet Hawi Husayn in northeastern Al-Suwayda from the Islamic State.

Syrian Arab Army’s commander of Al-Firqat al-Awl’s (1st Division) Al-Katibat 242 Dababat (242nd Tank Battalion), Brigadier General Sharaf Mazen Ahmed Barakat was killed in clashes with the Islamic State in northeastern Al-Suwayda.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) overran two Afghan National Army’s posts in Khwaja Qashri area of Juma Bazar district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and a vehicle destroyed in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an armored vehicle, seven assault rifles, and two sniper rifles from the captured posts.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Six elements of the Afghan Local Police, including commander Muhammad Charak surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the province. The elements reportedly handed over an RPG launcher, a PK machine gun, and four assault rifles to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 23 elements of the Islamic State and destroyed two camps in Deh Bala (Haska Meyna), Achin, and Khogyani districts.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group launched several coordinated assaults against the Afghan National Security Forces’ positions and checkpoints in Murghab district. According to Al-Emarah News, 35 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded in the assaults.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Ab Kamari district’s administration center and surrounding Afghan National Security Forces’ checkpoints. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly overran three checkpoints, killing five and wounding six elements in the process. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and five wounded in the encounters.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Muqur and Zana Khan districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed five and wounded five elements of the Afghan National Army, during clashes between the two in the city of Ghazni.

Six elements of the Afghan Local Police defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Gelan district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Bazar area of Farah Rod, reportedly killing eight and arresting one element of the police in the process. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter. Similarly, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Karwan Gah area of Farah Rod district, killing three and arresting six elements.

Urozgan Province:

Two elements of the Afghan National Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Garam Ab area of Tarinkot district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Daychopan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan took control of an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Dano Killi area of Chakhansur district. Afghan National Police’s commander, Abdullah Jenayi and ten elements of the police were killed, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an RPG launcher, a PK machine gun, and seven assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Haji Abdul Aziz area of Jerashk district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 13 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the encounter. Similarly, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Parchawi area of Nad Ali district, killing seven soldiers in the process.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed eight elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Nad Ali and Nawa-I-Barakzayi districts.
