Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel’s (People’s Protection Units) Press Office released a statement claiming that the group killed 15 elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army and Turkish Armed Forces in Sherawa district of Afrin. Full statement by the YPG‘s Press Office:

Within the scope of the second phase of the resistance of the Age against the Turkish occupation in Afrin, our units carried out a series of military operations against the invasion forces and its mercenaries in the vicinity of Afrin’s Sherawa district and city center, killing at least 15 Turkish soldiers and mercenaries.

On June 13th, our units targeted a military vehicle belonging to the terrorists of Firqat al-Hamzah on the road between the villages of Qimara and Barada. The operation resulted in the death of three terrorists and destruction of the vehicle. Those who were killed have been identified as Mustapha Al Abdullah from Aleppo, Mohammed Khalid Al Mahmoud from Jabal Al Zawia, Ahmed Abu Jarrah.

In the morning of the same day, our forces again targeted a military vehicle belonging to the Turkish invasion forces in village of Khaltah, Afrin city center. Another armored vehicle with a number of soldiers who tried to intervene to rescue the deads following the operation in the city center was also hit by our unit. As a result of the operations in the vicinity of the village of Khalidiyyah at least 12 terrorists including a Turkish soldier were killed, two military vehicles were destroyed.

The number of mercenaries and Turkish soldiers killed by our units during the resistance has risen to 2479.

Raqqa:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device wounded three civilians in Al-Tasaiyah neighborhood of the city of Raqqa.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery stationed at Al-Musana checkpoint shelled the village of Al-Lataminah in northern Hama. Reports claimed that the shelling killed two and wounded three civilians. Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza shelled Al-Safsafiyah and Mahardah thermal plant in response to the shelling of Al-Lataminah.

Homs and Deir al-Zour:

Daraa:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery shelled rebel-held Kafr Shams, Al-Hara, Aqrab, and Al-Mal. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), five civilians were killed and ten wounded by the shelling of Al-Hara and Aqrab.

Rebel ‘Sad al-Bagha operations room’ reportedly ambushed elements of the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid between Saham al-Jawlan and Jallin. Reports suggest that three elements of Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid were killed and two wounded in the encounter, while rebel casualties are unknown.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and its allies sent additional reinforcements in the northeastern Al-Suwayda against the Islamic State. According to the reports, Syrian Arab Army sent Al-Liwa 62 (62nd Brigade) and Special Forces, while the National Defense Forces in Al-Suwayda also sent reinforcements. The reinforcements reportedly already reached Bir al-Awra and Tell Asfar fronts against the Islamic State.

Afghanistan

Afghan National Security Forces and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) are currently engaged in a temporary ceasefire announced by both sides, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. However, it is important to note that occasional violations of the ceasefire and responses to the said violations still take place.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Marawara district.

United State reportedly conducted a drone strike in Marawara district, which killed the leader of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (Taliban Movement of Pakistan), Mullah Fazlullah (Fazal Hayat).

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and arrested three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar and Gelan districts.

Paktika Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two weapons depots in Wazakhwa and Terwa districts.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
