Aleppo:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted the vicinity of a Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s headquarters in the village of Al-Saharah, west of Aleppo. The explosion wounded several elements of Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s Biaraq al-Islam and several civilians.

Improvised explosive device killed four and wounded several civilians in the city of Tell Rifaat, north of Aleppo. Similarly, two improvised explosive devices wounded several civilians in the city of Manbij.

Al-Hasakah:

Syrian Democratic Forces captured the villages of Al-Shammas and Al-Halwa from the Islamic State in southern Al-Hasakah governorate.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Ariha, Taftanaz, Binnish, and Ram Hamdan. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), ten civilians were killed by the air raids over Taftanaz.

Islamic State’s cells executed three elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, who were captured yesterday on the road between Al-Mastouma and Idlib. Similarly, a rebel element was hanged in Ariha, while another element was hanged in Jisr al-Shughur with a piece of paper next to them that read “Islamic State”. Yesterday, the Islamic State’s sleeper cells kidnapped four elements of the Free Syrian Army’s Free Idlib Army and four elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, in an attempt to exchange them for 30 of the group’s elements, who were captured by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel operations room Dahar al-Ghaza near Al-Khuwayn. Reports suggested that negotiations were ongoing between the two sides regarding an exchange deal, however, it looks like the talks did not achieve desired result. According to the reports, the Islamic State executed the captured elements in retaliation for Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s raid on an Islamic State’s training camp near the village of Kafr Hand on the 5th of June, when 22 Islamic State’s elements were reportedly killed and four captured.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Tajammu Saraya Darayya launched an attack on the National Defense Forces and allies-held enclave of Fuah and Kafraya. According to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, six elements of the National Defense Forces were killed in the attack, which is a response to the Russian Air Force’s air raids over the village of Zardana on the 8th of June, which killed at least 42 and wounded more than 80 civilians, according to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets). Syrian Arab News Agency stated that the attack was repelled by the National Defense Forces, killing and wounding over a dozen of rebel fighters in the process.

Improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham on a road near the city of Saraqib. One element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham was wounded in the incident.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army destroyed two vehicles of the Free Syrian Army’s 1st Coastal Division with Kornet anti-tank guided missiles on the road between Al-Ankawi and Qalideen villages. Eight elements of the 1st Coastal Division were reported as killed and several wounded by the explosions of the vehicles.

Daraa:

Free Syrian Army’s Liwa al-Fatah announced its full integration into the Free Syrian Army’s Tajammu al-Shahid Abu Hamza al-Naemi.

Al-Suwayda:

Syrian Arab Army and allies clashed with the Islamic State near Tell Asfar, as the former’s reinforcements keep arriving in the northeastern Al-Suwayda governorate.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Gurziwan and Andkhoy districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Islamic State clashed in Qurha Chi area of Bilchiragh district. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that an improvised explosive device killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qurha Chi area. Other reports suggest that the Islamic State wounded three and captured five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, while three elements of the Islamic State were killed and seven wounded in the clashes.

Afghan Local Police’s commander, Muhammad Naem defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and handed over two PK machine guns and two assault rifles to the group in Lashi area of Lawlash district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qalay-I-Zal district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that the group captured six Afghan Local Police’s posts in Qalay-I-Zal district, killing 25 elements of the local police. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 13 assault rifles, two PK machine guns, and seven motorcycles from the captured posts.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group captured four Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Adrang area of Sar-e Pol district. According to Al-Emarah News, 30 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and five Humvees destroyed in clashes for the checkpoint. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized five PK machine guns, four RPG launchers, and a dozen of assault rifles from the captured checkpoints.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan National Police in the city of Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar Province.

Logar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed an Afghan National Army’s convoy in the city of Pol-e Alam, capital of Logar Province. Five elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and eight wounded, as well as three vehicles destroyed in the ambush.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shindand district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group overran a strategic Afghan National Army’s base in Aziz Abad area of Shindand district, killing 18 soldiers in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four PK machine guns, two RPG launchers, nine assault rifles, and large quantities of ammunition from the captured base.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran three Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Larwan Band area of Pur Chaman district, killing 12 and wounding three soldiers in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two PK machine guns, four assault rifles, and an RPG launcher from the captured checkpoints.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Chahar Gul area of Nahri Saraj district. Afghan National Police’s commander, Abdul Manan and seven other elements of the police were killed in clashes for the checkpoint.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group overan an important Afghan National Army’s base in Zangitan area of Shah Wali Kot, killing 35 and wounding six soldiers, as well as destroyed three armored personnel carriers and three vehicles in the process. Five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and two wounded in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Tangi area of Arghandab district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 17 elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and commander Muhammad Nabi wounded in clashes for the checkpoint. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also reportedly engaged Afghan Local Police’s reinforcements to the checkpoint, killing 15 policemen and destroyed an armored personnel carrier. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two PK machine guns, an RPG launcher, and nine assault rifles from the checkpoint.
