Aleppo:

Dozens of civilians in Jarabulus city held demonstrations, demanding that the Free Syrian Army’s factions evacuate their military headquarters from the locality and hand them over to the Turkey-backed Free Police.

Raqqa:

Demonstrations against the Syrian Democratic Forces were held in Al-Rumaila neighborhood of the city of Raqqa. Separately, unknown gunmen opened fire on an Asayish’s (Security) checkpoint in Al-Rumaila neighborhood of Raqqa, wounding two elements.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham publicly executed two individuals in Al-Dana village, on the charges of participating in assassinations and improvised explosive device attacks in the village. The two individuals were arrested a couple of days ago while attempting to plant an improvised explosive device, and are reportedly part of an Islamic State’s sleeper cell in the area.

Unknown gunmen opened fire on a vehicle on the road between Idlib and Marat Misreen, killing an element of Jaysh al-Ahrar and a former element of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State executed two captured elements of the Syrian Arab Army in the governorate. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency released footage of the event, showing that one element was beheaded, while the other element was shot with an anti-air gun at close range.

Damascus:

Left over rebels’ improvised explosive device killed two and wounded one civilian in Saidi Miqdad area of Babila, south of Damascus.

Daraa:

Free Syrian Army’s Firqat Jamil Abu al-Zayn, backed by Liwa al-Mansour arrested an element of the Islamic State, after raiding a house in the city of Nawa. The arrested element reportedly admitted he fought with the Islamic State in Al-Hajar al-Aswad south of Damascus for over a year, and was planning on reaching areas under the control of the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid. The element will be handed over to the ‘House of Justice in Houran’, once the initial investigation is concluded.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) attacked Afghan Local Police’s elements in Tor Gul area of Shirin Tagab district. Four elements of the Afghan Local Police and commander Kazam were killed in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Shirin Tagab district. Separately, an element of the Afghan Local Police was wounded by a sniper in Akhtar Jan Bazar area of Chilgazy district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan Local Police’s post in the city of Kunduz, killing two and wounding one element in the process.

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded an element of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ in Nahrin district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine elements of the Islamic State and destroyed a camp in Pachir Aw Agam and Shinwar districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted an Afghan National Army’s vehicle, killing one and wounding one soldier in Surkh Rod district.

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Ghani Khel district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Saydabad district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Gulran district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan National Army’s commander, Latif in Seyoshan area of Guzara district.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Saghar district, wounding two soldiers in the process.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded 15 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as captured two vehicles in Ajristan, Andar, and Ghazni districts. One of the 17 killed elements was Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mawlavi Javad. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that more than 20 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded in clashes with the group in Andar and Ghazni districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander, Sultan Jan and his guard in the city of Ghazni.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly released five captured elements of the Afghan National Police in Bakwa district, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two vehicles in Chora district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Chato Pul area of Deh Rawud district.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Zarah Noorak area of Qalat district, destroying a vehicle and killing two soldiers. Separately, three elements of the Afghan National Army were killed by improvised explosive devices in Pul Sangi area of Qalat district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as discovered and defused 18 improvised explosive devices in Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched an attack on the Afghan National Security Forces’ positions in Trekh Zabar area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that 17 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded, as well as a vehicle destroyed and several checkpoints damaged in the attack. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 25h and the 31st of May 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted 37 strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did 33 strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying ten IS fighting positions, two IS logistics hubs, eight IS vehicles, and an IS command and control center.

Other area where four strikes occurred is Al-Shadaddi, destroying six IS fighting systems, three IS logistics hubs, an IS vehicle-borne IED, and two IS command and control centers. Full report on CJTF-OIR strikes conducted in both Syria & Iraq can be found here.
