Aleppo:

Free Syrian Army’s Al-Jabhat al-Shamiya-affiliated Abu Dujana al-Azazi’s group kidnapped three elements of the Turkey-backed Free Police in the city of Azaz. The kidnapped policemen were reportedly physically assaulted, before being released by the Free Police.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen targeted and destroyed a Syrian Democratic Forces’ vehicle with an RPG in the northern part of Raqqa city. One element of the Syrian Democratic Forces was killed in the incident.

Al-Hasakah:

Unknown individuals assassinated Democratic Union Party’s official, Dr. Sharfan in the city of Al-Qamishli. Sharfan’s body was found with several stabbing wounds in Al-Zuhour neighborhood of Al-Qamishli.

Idlib:

The newly-formed Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir’s spokesman (National Liberation Front), Abu Hudayfah stated that the formation’s leader is Fadlullah al-Hajji (Commander of Faylaq al-Sham) and Suhaib Leoush (Commander of Free Idlib Army) his deputy, while Mahmoud al-Mansour (Commander of Jaysh al-Nasr) was announced as the formations’ Chief of Staff. Abu Hudayfah also stated that the formation’s main areas of operations are Idlib and Hama governorates, with additional presence in Latakia governorate and around Al-Bab and Jarabulus in Aleppo governorate.

Hama:

Abu Amara Special Task Brigade stated that its improvised explosive device targeted a Syrian Arab Army and allies’ ammunition depot near the city of Mahardah. The explosion reportedly killed several elements of the Syrian Arab Army, according to the brigade.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State arrested ten individuals who were attempting to flee the group-held territory towards areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces near Hajin. Islamic State also reportedly executed an individual who was trying to smuggle the ten individuals from Hajin.

Afghanistan

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) Al-Emarah News stated that the group seized 17 posts from the Afghan National Security Forces in Khwaja Ghar district. Takhar’s Provincial Council also stated that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 17 checkpoints in Khwaja Ghar district.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kohistan district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Kapisa Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including two elements from Pakistan in Tagab district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Tagab district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State in Sherzad district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the province.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed five and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Saydabad district.

Paktia Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Gardez district. Separately, three elements of the Afghan Local Police were wounded by an improvised explosive device in Zazi Aryub district.

Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Khair Kot district.

Khost Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated an element of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ in Alishir district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan arrested an element of the Afghan National Army in Sang Atish district.

Ghor Province:

Afghan National Security Forces cleared 25 villages in the province from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s presence, according to the Ghor governor’s spokesman, Abdullah Khatibi.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 20 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a vehicle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Gelan and Deh Yak districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Gelan district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Pusht Rod district.

Urozgan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group overran complete Afghan National Security Forces-held Chora district, after overraning Chora district’s administration center, National Directorate of Security’s headquarters and 17 checkpoints. According to the Al-Emarah News, 15 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the group.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed three elements of the Afghan National Army in Khalqi Charrahi area of Nad Ali district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
