Aleppo:

Free Syrian Army’s Firqat al-Sultan Murad (Sultan Murad Division) clashed with Al-Tamro family in the city of Al-Bab, after a dispute between two parties escalated to clashes. The dispute started when an element of Sultan Murad Division stopped his vehicle in front of the family’s store and refused to move it, as well as tried to attack the store’s owner with a knife, which prompted the owner to start shooting in the air. Turkey-backed Free Police arrived at the scene of the incident and arrested the element of Sultan Murad Division after he apologized to the store’s owner, however, a group of Sultan Murad Division’s elements also arrived at the scene and opened fire on the store, starting clashes between the two. One element of Sultan Murad Division was killed and three wounded, while two elements of Al-Tamro family were wounded in the clashes. Both sides expressed their willingness to hand over any individuals involved in the clashes to a military court.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham killed a foreign fighter from Turkey, known as Abu Jamal al-Azri in the city of Salqin. Al-Azri was reportedly killed on the charges of leading an Islamic State’s sleeper cell in the governorate.

Unknown individuals released a video showing the former leader of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Shuhada al-Islam, Captain Said Naqrish (Abu Jamal) being held captive. Naqrish was reportedly physically assaulted and tortured, since being kidnapped on the 24th of April in Sarmada. Even though Hayat Tahrir al-Sham officially denied having any connections to the kidnapping and detainment of Naqrish, the group still remains as the main suspect, because Naqrish participated in Astana peace talks, which were rejected by the group.

Deir al-Zour:

Russian Ministry of Defense stated that four Russian military advisors were killed and five others wounded, as they were aiding the Syrian Arab Army and allies in repelling an Islamic State’s attack in the governorate. The ministry also stated that 43 elements of the Islamic State were killed and six vehicles destroyed in the encounter.

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed a civilian in the city of Al-Shuhayl, southeast of Deir al-Zour.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen killed two elements of the Syrian Arab Army and a civilian in the city of Al-Sanamayn, north of Daraa..

Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Thawra arrested 35 elements of the Islamic State in the village of Umm al-Wald, as the Islamic State’s elements attempted to cross rebel-held territory from the areas under the control of the Syrian Arab Army to the areas under the control of the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid. The arrested elements were recently evacuated from southern Damascus to desertous area between Homs and Deir al-Zour governorates.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two commanders of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban); Qari Qayyum and Mawlawi Golestan in Shirin Tagab district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ checkpoints in Poplazie, Bazar Kala, and Jamjama Kala areas of Dawlat Abad district, overrunning three checkpoints.

Kunduz Province:

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Alishang district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 19 elements of the Islamic State, including two commanders; Qari Asrar and Mullah Adghir in Deh Bala (Haska Meyna) district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. Separately, the Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle in Chaparhar district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sayid Karam district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed three vehicles in Obe district.

Daykundi Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Sang Sheikh area of Gizab district, wounding six soldiers in the process.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 32 and wounded 33 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Andar, Ajristan, and Deh Yak districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Daychopan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Kandaharyano area of Delaram district.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted an SVBIED operation targeting a military center of the Afghan National Security Forces in Shireen Charrahi area of Nad Ali district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that more than 110 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed, as well as over a dozen of vehicles and the center destroyed. Helmand Governor’s spokesman, Omar Zawak stated that two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and four wounded by the explosion.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ positions in Qari Post, Spein Mamoryat, and Chanjir Palki areas of Nad Ali district. According to the reports, more than 26 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded, as well as four armored personnel carriers destroyed in the attack. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and five wounded in the encounter.
