Aleppo:

Unknown gunmen attacked headquarters of the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets) in the village of Tell Hadiya, south of Aleppo. Five elements of the Syrian Civil Defense were killed and three wounded in the attack. The gunmen looted the headquarters, as well as stole several vehicles.

Idlib:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device exploded near a shelter for displaced individuals on Al-Thalatheen street in the city of Idlib. Reports suggest that four civilians were killed and around 50 wounded by the explosion.

Homs:

Left over rebels’ improvised explosive device killed one and wounded one civilian in the village of Tell Dahab in Al-Houla area. The wounded civilian was transferred to a hospital in the city of Homs.

Damascus:

General Command of the Syrian Arab Armed Forces issued an order announcing demobilization of the Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Al-Dawra (Session/Course), eight years after it entered service. The order is expected to take effect on the 1st of June.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces destroyed two vehicles of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Shirin Tagab district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Khwaja Topchaq area of Qaysar district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that 12 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in the encounter. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and four wounded in the encounter.

Afghan National Army’s commander, Sadiq Muhammad defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with two assault rifles in Ghalbyan area of Gurziwan district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Ali Abad district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including commander Mohammad Sangri in Suwat area of Surkh Rod district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two motorcycles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Andar and Deh Yak districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Speni Ghondi area of Ajristan district. Two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in the encounter, while the remaining elements withdrew from the checkpoints. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two assault rifles, a PK machine gun, and large quantities of ammunition from the checkpoint.

14 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ajristan district, handing over seven assault rifles to the group. One of the 14 defected elements is the son of Ajristan district’s leader (“head”), Bismillah Khazandar.

Urozgan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group overran Afghan National Security Forces’ defense line in Tori Chine area of Chora district. According to the Al-Emarah News, ten checkpoints were overran by the group so far, as well as more than 30 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces killed and 11 arrested.

Two elements of the Afghan National Police defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Khas Urozgan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Security Forces’ Kamaz truck in Kandaharyano area of Delaram district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Security Forces’ center in Namro area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that 21 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces, including commander Amir were killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a vehicle, two PK machine guns, two RPG launchers, ten assault rifles, and a DShK heavy machine gun from the center.
