With the capture of the Yarmouk camp, the Syrian government has taken full control over the Damascus city governorate. This means it now controls seven out of the fourteen internationally-recognized provinces of the country.
With the Damascus region now completely cleared, the Syrian Army will now focus on the Daraa governorate. It has been reported that large Army contingents have been transferred to the eastern portion of the Daraa front over the past few days, indicating a large offensive to retake the eastern part of the province could be imminent.
