Aleppo:

Yekîneyên Parastina Gel (People’s Protection Units) stated that seven elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army were killed in Maydankay, Kafr Rum and Qurt Qulaq villages of Sharran subdistrict, as a result of clashes between the two sides.

Free Syrian Army’s Liwa al-Mutasim organized a friendly meeting between Jaysh al-Islam and Faylaq al-Rahman in northern Aleppo. Syrian Interim Government stated that the meeting was reconciliation between the two groups, however, according to reports, a commander of Faylaq al-Rahman stated that reconciliation already took place between the two groups, when they were still fighting in the East Ghouta.

Turkish government is reportedly starting work on opening a border crossing between Turkey and Afrin region in northern Aleppo. The crossing will be near Al-Hammam village in Jindires subdistrict, and will be administrated / manned by Faylaq al-Sham’s Jaysh al-Sharqiyah.

Raqqa:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device exploded near Al-Dallah roundabout in the city of Raqqa, as rubble was being removed from a building in the area. The explosion killed two and wounded at least three civilians.

Idlib:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted ‘Justice Palace’ of the Syrian Salvation Government’s Ministry of Justice in the city of Idlib. The explosion reportedly killed seven and wounded more than ten individuals, mainly prisoners of the Syrian Salvation Government, who were being transferred to hospitals. Two guards were also killed in the incident.

Hama:

Third batch of rebel elements and their families were evacuated from the Northern Homs pocket and arrived at Qalaat al-Madiq crossing in western Hama. The batch reportedly consisted of around 3500 rebel elements and civilians, who will be transferred to camps for internally displaced persons in Aleppo and Idlib governorates.

Homs:

Fourth batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from the Northern Homs pocket, towards northern Syria. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that more than 70 buses carrying fighters and civilians left the aforementioned localities towards northern Syria.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army and allies made additional advances in Al-Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar al-Aswad against the Islamic State. Syrian Arab Army’s main axis of advances was east of the 30th Street in Al-Yarmouk, capturing over a dozen of buildings, including Al-Anurwu school and ‘Popular Labor Office’. Syrian Arab Army also captured ‘Educational Development Center’ in northern Al-Hajar al-Aswad.

Daraa:

Improvised explosive device targeted a building of Kafr Sham’s local council in Kafr Shams, north of Daraa. The explosion wounded two civilians. Reports suggest that the target of the improvised explosive device was leader of the Free Syrian Army’s Al-Wiyat Burkan Houran, Wassim al-Zarqan and his deputy, Ibrahim al-Qatish.

Afghanistan

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and arrested six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Chimtal district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan National Army’s commander, Shamsullah in Khan Abad district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed four and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in the city of Kunduz.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 15, wounded eight, and arrested six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Darayim and Jurm districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in Jurm district.

Baghlan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tala wa Barfan and Puli Khumri districts.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Khas Kunar district.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Qarghayi district, killing two and wounding two soldiers.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 21 elements of the Islamic State in Deh Bala (Haska Meyna) district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Khost Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed four elements of the Afghan National Army in the city of Khost.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 19 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed four and wounded six elements of the Afghan National Army, as the latter was trying to reopen the road between Paktika and Ghazni provinces.

Paktika Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Gayan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Sar Hawza district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 35 and wounded eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bala Buluk district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tarinkot district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mizan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Naw Bahar district, killing five and wounding three soldiers. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and three wounded in the engagement.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s positions in Zabar area of the city of Lashkar Gah, capital of Helmand Province. Nine elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and wounded, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and two wounded in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed 13 elements of the Afghan National Army in Nad Ali and Nawa-I-Barakzayi districts. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were also wounded in the encounters.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers targeted two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Ashk Abad and Kalancheki areas of Maywand district, killing at least four soldiers.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
