Aleppo:

Fifth and sixth batches of evacuated rebel elements and their families from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem, as well as the second batch of evacuated rebel elements and their families from the Northern Homs pocket, are still waiting for Turkish approval in the vicinity of Abu al-Zindeen crossing near the city of Al-Bab, in order to enter the rebel-held areas of northern Aleppo.

Turkish Armed Forces’ convoy entered Syria through Kafr Lusin and headed towards Al-Rashideen west of Aleppo, in order to establish its 9th observation point in Syria. However, Jaysh Halab al-Shahba’s (Jaysh Ibna al-Shahba according to some) leader, Captain Amin stated that the group is not committed to any de-escalation agreement, adding that Turkish observation point does not mean anything to the group nor will it affect its military operations. Amin also asked other rebel factions, which are participating in Astana peace talks, to provide Jaysh Halab al-Shahba with Grad rockets, so that the group can continue targeting Syrian Arab Army and allies’ positions even with the presence of the Turkish Armed Forces in the area.

Spokesperson of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Manbij Military Council, Shervan Derwish announced that the United States established a new military base in Manbij, north of Aleppo. Derwish also added that the new base will also include military personnel from France.

Unknown gunmen assassinated two elements of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham near the village of Talhadiya, south of Aleppo.

Rebel “guerrilla” group Harakat al-Qiyam assassinated an element of the Syrian Democratic Forces, presumably in the northern Aleppo since it is the main area where the group operates, however, the group did not officially state the location of the event.

Homs:

Today’s evacuation of the third batch of rebel elements and their families from the Northern Homs pocket was postponed. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that the batch was postponed due to logistical issues.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State reportedly captured five wounded elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces near a hospital in the city of Hajin. The captured elements were wounded by an Islamic State’s vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.

Damascus:

Islamic State targeted Al-Misat Square and Al-Marja areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, four civilians were killed and 24 wounded by the targeting of the aforementioned areas.

Last night, Israel Defense Forces reportedly launched several missiles on an alleged Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s headquarters in Al-Kaswa area south of Damascus. Syrian Arab News Agency reported that the Syrian Air Defense intercepted and destroyed two missiles fired by the Israel Defense Forces. Reports suggest that the targeting killed two and wounded one civilian, while military casualties are still unknown. Daraa:

Unknown gunmen on a motorcycle assassinated a commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Shuhada Nawa on a road to the city of Nawa. The commander was reportedly assassinated near his house.

Al-Suwayda:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham claimed responsibility for the improvised explosive device attack, which destroyed a Syrian Arab Army’s bus carrying elements on the road between Buraq and Al-Sura al-Kabira on the 6th of May. The explosion reportedly killed eight elements, including two commanders of the Syrian Arab Army’s 150th Air Defense Regiment.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces conducted large-scale operations in the province after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) captured Bilchiragh district. Afghan National Security Forces killed 20 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including three commanders; Ezatullah, Mohammad Allah, and Mullah Asadollah, as well as wounded 12 elements of the group and destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Almar district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Afghan National Security Forces conducted large-scale operations in Pashtun Kot district against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, killing 30 elements of the group, including commander Qari Shaker, as well as arresting additional 13 elements of the group, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. Afghan National Security Forces also killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, while the three elements of the group surrendered in Qarish and Bazqala villages of Dawlat Abad district.

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ghormach district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group captured Bilchiragh district, including the district’s administration center. However, Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that the Afghan National Security Force re-entered Bilchiragh district, as clashes between the two continue in the district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed Afghan National Army’s commander, Naqibullah Karezi and wounded six elements of the army, as well as destroyed four armored vehicles in Chaghatak area of Almar district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s positions in Zarshawi area of Pashtun Kot, overrunning two military bases and two checkpoints in the process.

Two elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kala Mirodalan area of Khaibar district.

Jowzjan Province:

Four elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Khwaja Do Koh and Qarqeen districts.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked several Afghan National Police’s posts in Chahar Bolak district, killing five policemen and destroying a vehicle in the process.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan Local Police’s elements, killing two policemen and seizing three motorcycles in Chahi district.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two fighting positions in Tishkan district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed nine and wounded several elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Tishkan district.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed Afghan National Army’s commander, Ergaish and two other elements of the army in Qoshtie area of Saydabad district.

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group captured Tala wa Barfak district, including the district’s center, Afghan National Police’s headquarters and all of its checkpoints. According to the Al-Emarah News, several dozens of elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded in the encounters, while the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two armored vehicles, five military vehicles, and large quantities of weapons and ammunition. Baghlan’s governor, Abdullahi Nemati confirmed that Tala wa Barfak district is now under the control of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Parwan Province:

Three elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Syagard district.

Kabul Province:

Two suicide attacks took place in the city of Kabul, one in the 10th and the other in the 13th district of Kabul. Both attacks targeted Afghan National Police’s headquarters. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency claimed responsibility for the attack in the 13th district, while remaining silent about the other attack. National Directorate of Security claimed that today’s attacks in the city of Kabul were conducted by the Haqqani network with the support of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Reports suggest that at least 15 individuals were killed in the two incidents.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 27 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Momand Dara and Bati Kot districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Pol-e Alam district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in the city of Pol-e Alam, capital of Logar Province.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized three Afghan National Army’s posts in Mohammad Agha district, killing eight soldiers and destroying two armored vehicles in the process.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a ‘National Directorate of Security’s vehicle and killed three elements in Mohammad Agha district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints close to the city of Qala i Naw, capital of Badghis Province. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were killed, two wounded, and one arrested in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured a PK machine gun, an RPG launcher, and four assault rifles from the checkpoints. Similarly, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Mirhamzo area of Muqur district, killing Afghan National Army’s commander Abdul Ghafar in the process.

Ghor Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed seven vehicles in Shahrak district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ab Band district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly killed eight and wounded 11 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces, as the latter was attempting to reopen the road between Ghazni and Paktika provinces.

Paktika Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked several Afghan Local Police’s posts in Sar Hawza district, overrunning and destroying one of the checkpoints. Five elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and several more wounded in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized seven assault rifles, a PK machine gun, and large quantities of ammunition from the destroyed post. Similarly, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two Afghan Local Police’s posts in Barmal district. Eight elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and five wounded, while two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed in the encounters.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 34 and wounded ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three fighting positions and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Deh Rawud and Tarinkot districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Police in Seydano and Bazar areas of Khas Urozgan district.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army in Qalat district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Tangano Godar and Nari Zabat areas of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Five elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and two wounded, as well as two vehicles and two motorcycles destroyed in the encounters.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and destroyed three Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carriers on the road to Kandahar Province in Yakchal area of Nahri Saraj district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army and four elements of the Afghan Border Police in Sangin and Nad Ali districts.
