Aleppo:

Fifth batch of evacuated rebel elements and their families from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem south of Damascus arrived at Abu al-Zindeen crossing near the city of Al-Bab in northern Aleppo. The batch reportedly consisted of around 1369 rebel elements and civilians, who will be transferred to camps for internally displaced persons in Al-Bab, Jarabulus, and Jindires areas.

First batch of evacuated rebel elements and their families from the Northern Homs pocket arrived at Abu al-Zindeen crossing near the city of Al-Bab in northern Aleppo. The batch reportedly consisted of around 3391 rebel elements and civilians, who will be transferred to camps for internally displaced persons in Al-Bab, Jarabulus, and Jindires areas.

Free Syrian Army’s Firqat al-Sultan Murad (Sultan Murad Division) and Liwa Suqour al-Jabal (Mountain Hawks Brigade) clashed in Hawar Kilis, Dudiyan, Harajla, Qara Mazrae, Al-Khirba, and Baghidiyeen, north of Aleppo. Firqat al-Sultan Murad stated that Liwa Suqour al-Jabal initiated the clashes, by firstly targeting Murad’s elements and then its headquarters, as well as arresting elements at checkpoints. Five rebel elements were reportedly killed and over a dozen wounded in the clashes, before the two sides reached a ceasefire and released prisoners. However, according to Liwa Suqour al-Jabal, clashes between the two resumed after Murad’s elements reportedly attacked the group’s headquarters in Hawar Kilis area.

Al-Hasakah:

Rebel “guerrilla” group Harakat al-Qiyam stated that the group destroyed a Syrian Democratic Forces’ intelligence office in Al-Hasakah.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Army’s shelling and Russian Air Force’s air raids targeted Al-Naqir and Tell Touqan. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), three civilians were killed and five wounded by the targeting of the aforementioned localities.

Improvised explosive device targeted a civilian vehicle on the road between the city of Idlib and Maarat Misreen. One civilian was killed and another wounded by the explosion. Separately, unknown gunmen threw a grenade at Faylaq al-Sham’s checkpoint in Kafr Takharim.

Homs:

Second batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from the Northern Homs pocket, towards northern Syria. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that more than 70 buses carrying fighters and civilians left the aforementioned localities towards northern Syria.

Deir al-Zour:

Russian Air Force’s Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopters crashed yesterday in eastern Syria, killing both pilots on board. Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the helicopter crashed due to a technical failure.

Syrian Arab Army and allies captured Faydat Umm Muwaynah in desertous area south of Al-Mayadeen from the Islamic State.

Damascus:

Sixth batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem south of Damascus, towards northern Aleppo. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that 37 buses carrying fighters and civilians left the aforementioned localities towards northern Syria.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that 33 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and a bulldozer damaged, during clashes between the two in Al-Yarmouk camp, south of Damascus.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) launched attacks against the Afghan National Security Forces in Kolyan and Toghalmis areas of Bilchiragh district, capturing both areas. Faryab’s governor, Fazil al-Haq Mohammadi confirmed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s capture of the aforementioned areas by saying that around 70 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded in clashes for the two areas. Mohammadi also stated that situation in Faryab Province is not good and that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is on the verge of capturing four districts in the province. Afghan National Security Forces are now only in control of the center of Bilchiragh district.

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces destroyed two Islamic State’s bases in Derzab district.

Baghlan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the province.

Kapisa Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tagab district.

Nangarhar Province:

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Security Forces wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Muqur district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chishti Sharif district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Security Forces, as well as seized six assault rifles in Aziz Abad area of Shindand district.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran six Afghan Local Police’s posts in Karez, Awshan, and Band Qawk areas of Shahrak district. Eight elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed, 12 wounded, and one captured in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized five motorcycles, three assault rifles, and an RPG launcher from the posts.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Paktika Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 20 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including seven commanders and wounded additional 15 elements in Barmal district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed eight vehicles in the district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s base in Chato Pul area of Deh Rawud district, killing six and wounding three soldiers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army and two elements of the Afghan National Police in Chora and Tarinkot districts.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated deputy chief of Mizan district, Muzammil in Bawryano area of the city of Qalat, capital of Zabul Province. Additional two elements of the Afghan National Police were killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun and two assault rifles from the killed elements.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Maltani area of Shahr-e-Safa district. Similarly, an Afghan National Army’s vehicle was destroyed by an improvised explosive device in Maghulizo Killi area of Qalat district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed seven and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in Qalat and Naw Bahar districts.

Helmand Province:

Two Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s elements infiltrated an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Kochyano area of Nad Ali district, killing two soldiers and seizing a PK machine gun and two assault rifles.

Several Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices targeted an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Matike area of Nad Ali district, killing and wounding 12 soldiers. Similarly, a vehicle of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ was destroyed by an improvised explosive device in Naqil Abad Charrahi area.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed 12 elements of the Afghan National Army in Nad Ali district. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounters.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maywand district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Tanwchi and Bagh areas of Shah Wali Kot district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements arriving to Wam area of Arghistan district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and eight wounded in the ambush. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a pickup, two PK machine guns, and an assault rifle from the encounter. Similarly, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan Local Police in Mamor Sahib Chwak area of Zhari district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Amaq Agency:

Indonesia:

Islamic State clashed with the Indonesian National Police’s Detasemen Khusus 88 (Special Detachment 88) at Depok detention center in the city of Depok. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency claimed that ten elements of the Special Detachment 88 were killed in the clashes. The agency also claimed that the Islamic State’s elements seized a number of machine guns in the detention center.

Libya:

Islamic State’s suicide attack targeted a Libyan National Army’s checkpoint east of Sirte. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that at least 13 elements of the Libyan National Army were killed and wounded in the attack.
