Al-Hasakah:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed two and wounded eight civilians near Al-Abyad bridge in Al-Nashwa neighborhood, southwestern Al-Hasakah city.

Homs:

Negotiations Committee of the Northern Homs pocket reached an agreement with Russia, regarding the future of the rebel Northern Homs pocket. According to the agreement, rebel elements and civilians that do not want to reconcile with the Syrian government will be evacuated to Idlib and Jarabulus. However, Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s (Syrian National Army) Al-Faylaq al-Rabea (Fourth Corps/Legion), rebel factions in Taldou, and Faylaq al-Sham refused the agreement. Similarly, civilians in Al-Rastan, Talbisah, Al-Saan, Al-Makramiyah, Al-Ashamiyah, Al-Zafrana, Talf, Aqrab, Al-Dar al-Kabira, Al-Houla, and Al-Ghantu demonstrated against the agreement and opposed expulsion from their homes and land. Demonstrations were also held in Al-Rastan in support of the Syrian government and calling on the Russian Military Police to enter the locality.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army entered previously Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-held areas in Al-Yarmouk camp south of Damascus, after the latter’s elements were evacuated towards Idlib.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that 15 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in clashes with the Islamic State in Al-Yarmouk camp.

Syrian Arab Army removed rubble and barriers from Al-Jamal roundabout in Beit Sahem, in preparations to evacuate rebel elements and their families from Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Sahem towards northern Syria. The evacuation is supposed to start tomorrow morning.

Iraq

Anbar:

Islamic State launched an attack against Al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) in Albu Faraj area, east of Ramadi. According to the Islamic State’s Amaq Agency, 22 elements of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi were killed and ten wounded, as well as three vehicles damaged in the attack.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan National Police in Shah Qasmi area of Pashtun Kot district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Sharaink area of Pashtun Kot district.

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine and wounded 16 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chahar Bolak district, according to the Afghan MInistry of Defense. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed one and wounded three elements of the Afghan National Army in Chahar Bolak district.

Badakhshan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched a large attack against the Afghan National Security Forces in Kohistan district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked the district’s administrative building, Afghan National Police’s headquarters and posts surrounding it. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured three posts, while clashes for the aforementioned localites still continue. Afghan National Police sent reinforcements from the city of Fayzabad, after receiving a request for troops from the Afghan National Police in Kohistan district.

Baghlan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qatbiyah area.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device wounded two elements of the Afghan National Police in Pul-e Khomri district.

Kabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Surobi district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and an element of the Islamic State, as well as wounded three former’s elements in Momand Dara district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an Afghan Local Police’s post in Momand Dara district. Four elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and three wounded, while an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and three wounded in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded three elements of the Afghan National Army in Kama district.

Islamic State’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Bagh Dara area of Achin district.

Nine elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Spin Gar, Bati Kot, and Khogyani districts.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces arrested seven individuals suspected of belonging to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mohammad Agha district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Mohammad Agha district. Two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and three wounded, as well as an armored vehicle destroyed in the attack.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed two elements of the Afghan National Police in Mohammad Agha district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sayid Karam district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured two elements of the Afghan National Army in Sang Atish district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements in Bazar area of Ghoryan district. One element of the Afghan National Army was killed and another wounded in the ambush.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three motorcycles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Shaliz and Pir Shahbaz areas.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched an attack against the Afghan National Army in the city of Ghazni, killing two and wounding four soldiers.

Paktika Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements in Ziruk district. Two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and three wounded in the ambush.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured Afghan National Security Forces’ Azim post on Kandahar – Herat highway in Farah Rod district, after the latter’s elements withdrew from it. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also captured large areas surrounding the post.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed four fighting positions in Khas Urozgan and Deh Rawud districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army in Khas Urozgan and Tarinkot districts.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Army in Takham and Seadullah Killi areas of Mizan district. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounters.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s patrol in Nehalano area of Delaram district, killing two soldiers and seizing a PK machine gun and two assault rifles in the process.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sangin district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Police’s elements near Tor Nika area of Shah Wali Kot district. Eight elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and two armored personnel carriers destroyed, while two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Nesh district.

Two elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maruf district. The surrendered elements handed over a motorcycle and an assault rifle to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
