Aleppo:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) continued to clash in western Aleppo. It appears that Jabhat Tahrir Suriya is in control of yesterday-disputed villages of Bisrtoun, Ajel, and Al-Abizmu. Jabhat Tahrir Suriya also reportedly captured Taqad, Balanta, Al-Habat, Abad al-Rahman association, and Al-Saadiyah association from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. After these advances, Jabhat Tahrir Suriya reportedly opened road towards Al-Atarib, which was surrounded by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham for several weeks.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen on a motorcycle targeted elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Asayish with a grenade at a checkpoint in the village of Hazima, north of Raqqa. Two elements of Asayish were reportedly wounded in the incident.

Homs:

Syrian Arab Army and allies clashed with rebel factions on Salim and Al-Hamrat fronts in the rebel Northern Homs pocket. Jaysh al-Tawhid stated that the group repelled three attacks on Salim front. According to the reports, 17 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were allegedly killed and five captured, as well as a ZSU-23-4 (Shilka) and two vehicles destroyed in the encounters.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State reportedly executed three of its elements in the village of Al-Kashma near Hajin, east of Deir al-Zour. The three elements were executed on the charges of trying to create divisions among the group’s elements.

Damascus:

Second batch of rebel elements and their families started evacuating from Al-Ruhaybah in the Eastern Qalamoun towards Idlib and Aleppo. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that seven buses carrying fighters and civilians left Al-Ruhaybah towards northern Syria.

Syrian Arab Army continued to clashes with the Islamic State in the areas south of Damascus. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency released several statements regarding the clashes in southern Damascus. According to the Amaq Agency, 37 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in failed attempts to advance against the Islamic State south of Damascus. Amaq Agency also released a statement claiming that 29 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and two tanks destroyed in Al-Qadam district. Another statement from Amaq Agency stated that another nine elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in Al-Qadam district.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency released a video showing execution of two elements of the Syrian Arab Army south of Damascus.

Three officers of the Syrian Arab Army-affiliated Palestinian Fatah al-Intifada were killed in clashes with the Islamic State south of Damascus. The three officers that were killed are; First Lieutenant Yassin Maatouq, First Lieutenant Fouad Hassan, and First Lieutenant Ammar Mohammed.

Daraa:

Free Syrian Army’s Quwwat Shabab al-Sunnah executed an individual in Bosra al-Sham, on the charges of spying for the Syrian government. Quwwat Shabab al-Sunnah’s director of media office, Mohammed al-Miqdad stated that the executed individual was involved in three assassinations. The individual was arrested when he tried to assassinate a commander of the group.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) conducted an operation against the Afghan National Army and captured Charmahar, Koparak, and Larbazak areas of Bilchiragh district. Three elements of the Afghan National Army were killed, five wounded, and one arrested, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and two wounded in the operation.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Dewan Khawana area of Almar district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khan Abad district.

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Yangi Qala district.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shaigal and Ghaziabad districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized three Afghan National Army’s posts in Shaigal district, killing two and wounding six soldiers.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Dawlat Shah district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 17 elements of the Islamic State and destroyed 15 fighting positions in Deh Bala district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted an Afghan National Army’s vehicle in Momand Dara district, reportedly killing one and wounding five soldiers.

Four elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Bati Kot district.

Islamic State allegedly kidnapped and beheaded three individuals in Chaparhar district. The individuals were beheaded on the charges of cooperating with the Afghan government.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran three Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Langar area of Qadis district. Reports suggest that 11 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and 11 wounded, while the remaining elements withdrew from the checkpoints. Three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounters. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two vehicles, ten motorcycles, and three assault rifles from the checkpoints.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s elements in Ab Kamari district, who were establishing new checkpoints. According to the reports, 16 elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in the encounter.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Yak, Gelan, Qarabagh, and Andar districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Police in Qarabagh district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in the city of Ghazni, reportedly killing one and wounding three elements of the army.

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Nawa district.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khaki Safed district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint on Farah road in Naw Abad area of Bala Buluk district. Seven elements of the Afghan National Police, including commander Bari Gul were killed and three vehicles destroyed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an RPG launcher and four assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chora district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security killed 15 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a base, a vehicle, and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in the province.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s convoy in Tal area of Delaram district, reportedly destroying two armored personnel carriers, as well as killing four and wounding three soldiers.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Jerashk district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Bazar area of Jerashk district, killing six elements of the police and destroying a vehicle. Afghan National Police’s reinforcements arriving to the attacked checkpoint were targeted by an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device, destroying an armored personnel carrier, as well as killing Afghan National Police’s commander Agha Muhammad and three other elements of the police. Five elements of the Afghan National Police were also wounded by the explosion, including commander Abdul Razaq.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Mira Khor Dasht area of Maywand district. Similarly, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Police’s vehicle in Kala Shamir area of Maywand district, killing Afghan National Police’s commander, Gul Muhammad, as well as killing two and wounding three elements of the police.

Afghan Local Police’s element defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Abdul Ghafar area of Maywand district, after he opened fire on an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint, killing two and wounding one policeman. Similarly, an Afghan Local Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maywand district.
