Aleppo:

Three elements of Faylaq al-Rahman fled with their families from Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army-held areas north of Aleppo to areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Manbij Military Council.

Idlib:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device targeted the vicinity of Suhaib al-Roumi mosque in the city of Idlib. Reports suggest that the explosion wounded 13 civilians.

Demonstrations against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were held in the city of Sarmada, after the latter’s elements reportedly attacked a shop owner in the locality. Demonstrators changed slogans against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and demanded the group’s withdrawal from the locality. However, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham opened fire on the demonstrators, reportedly wounding five individuals.

Homs:

Islamic State attacked a Syrian Arab Army’s military base east of the city of Palmyra. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that several Syrian Arab Army’s elements were killed and wounded, as well as a technical seized in the attack.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army entered and fully captured Al-Dumayr in the Eastern Qalamoun region, after rebel elements and their families were evacuated from it towards northern Aleppo. According to the reports, more than 1500 fighters and civilians were evacuated from Al-Dumayr.

Syrian Arab Army and allies advanced east of Al-Ruhaybah and captured Tell al-Kharnubah and Ard al-Musaylihah, which resulted in Al-Ruhaybah being encircled. After these advances, rebel negotiations committee of the Eastern Qalamoun had a meeting with the Syrian government and Russia. The two sides reportedly reached an agreement, which includes evacuation of rebel elements and their families from rebel-held localities in the Eastern Qalamoun towards northern Aleppo.

Negotiations between the Islamic State and the Syrian government backed by Russia collapsed, after the former decided to set new conditions. The two sides were discussing Islamic State’s evacuation from Al-Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar al-Aswad. After the negotiations collapsed, both sides started mutually shelling areas south of Damascus.

Daraa:

Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid launched an attack against the Free Syrian Army-held Maskan Jallin and Al-Sheikh Saed. The attack started with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, which targeted the Free Syrian Army’s defense lines in Al-Sheikh Saed. Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid managed to partially take control of the both localities, before being pushed back by the Free Syrian Army. Reports suggest that 25 elements of the Free Syrian Army were killed and more than 20 wounded, while at least 15 elements of Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid were killed in the attack. The same reports also suggest that 45 civilians were also wounded in the clashes between the two.

Three commanders of the Free Syrian Army were killed in today’s clashes with Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid around Maskan Jallin and Al-Sheikh Saed. Two commanders of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Muetaz Biallah; Ahmed al-Zainab (Al-Shishani) and Alaa Bassam al-Bardan, and Firqat Fajr al-Islam’s commander, Mahzar al-Natour.

Bodies of three executed civilians were found between Daraa and Nasib. Similarly, body of the former military commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Quwwat Shabab al-Sunnah, Malik al-Samadi was found near Saida. Al-Samadi was kidnapped 11 months ago.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) attacked an Afghan Local Police’s center of Kohistan district last night. Reports suggest that four elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and two wounded in the attack. Among the four killed elements are two Afghan Local Police’s commanders; Sultan and Roshan.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s post in Alishang district, killing one and wounding one soldier.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle of the Afghan National Army in Khogyani district, reportedly killing two and wounding three soldiers. Similarly, an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted an Afghan National Army’s armored vehicle in Chaparhar district, killing two and wounding two soldiers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded three elements of the Afghan Local Police in Surkh Rod district.

Two elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bati Kot district. Similarly, three elements of the Afghan National Army surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bati Kot district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan Local Police’s elements in Nirkh district, killing three and wounding two elements of the police in the process.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in Saydabad district. Similarly, two elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and one wounded by an improvised explosive device in Chaki Wardak district.

Logar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed a prominent Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Enayat Khan. Khan was killed as he was commanding an ambush against the Afghan National Security Forces. According to the reports, Khan belong to an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s faction led by Mullah Azizullah.

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Army’s element defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khair Khana area of Qadis district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chishti Sharif district.

Daykundi Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s post in Dari area of Gizab district, killing four and wounding five soldiers in the process.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander, Bismillah in the city of Ghazni.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint on Kandahar – Herat road in Farah Rod district, after the latter retreated from it. Separately, two elements of the Afghan National Police were killed by an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper in Seya Zangle area of Bala Buluk district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chora district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Garam Ab area of Khas Urozgan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Shishawi area of Khash Rod district. Three elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and two wounded, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and three wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Terikh Zabar area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Nine elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and two wounded, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was wounded in the attacks.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army in Nawa-I-Barakzayi and Nad Ali districts.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maywand district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
