Aleppo:

Sixth batch of Jaysh al-Islam’s elements and their families arrived at Abu al-Zindeen crossing near the city of Al-Bab in northern Aleppo. The batch was forced to wait for eight hours at the checkpoint, before being allowed to enter Al-Bab and surrounding areas. According to several reports, Turkish Armed Forces temporarily suspended the entry of the batch, due to a lack of accommodations for the individuals, while several other reports claimed that the Syrian government suspended the entry, until the buses used to evacuate the previous batch returned through the crossing. The sixth batch consisted of 3852 individuals and was accommodated in two mosques in the city of Al-Bab, a shelter in the neighboring village of Shabayran, and a camp under construction near Al-Bab.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Qastoun in northwestern Hama. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), four civilians were killed and three wounded by the air raids over Qastoun.

Damascus:

Unknown gunmen attempted to assassinate the head of the reconciliation committee of Yalda, Sheikh Saleh al-Khatib, while he was returning to Yalda through Babila-Sayidi Miqdad checkpoint, south of Damascus. The gunmen opened fire on Al-Khatib’s vehicle and lightly wounded him, as he was returning from a meeting with the Syrian government and Russia. Al-Khatib was transferred to Al-Mujtahid hospital in Damascus and returned to Yalda, after being released from the hospital. Reports suggest that Al-Khatib is planning to establish a “popular militia” in Babila – Yalda – Beit Sahem area, backed by Russia, which would then be incorporated into National Defense Forces.

Negotiations Committee of Al-Dumayr in the East Qalamoun region announced that it reached an agreement with the Syrian government and Russia, regarding the future of the locality, after a meeting between the two parties at Al-Dumayr Military Airport. The negotiations committee stated that the agreement will neutralise the locality from the fighting. The agreement also includes the formation of a committee, which will register individuals who wish to leave and those who want to reconcile and stay in the locality.

Daraa:

Improvised explosive device killed a civilian on the road between Al-Rakhm and Al-Karak villages.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Kohistan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Qara Shiekhi area of Juma Bazar district, reportedly killing two and wounding two soldiers, as well as seizing an armored vehicle, an RPG launcher, and a sniper rifle from the checkpoint.

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight and wounded three elements of the Islamic State in Derzab district. One of the eight killed elements was reportedly a foreign fighter from France.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured a village and a checkpoint from the Afghan Local Police in Chahar Bolak district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also repelled Afghan Local Police’s attack, aimed at regaining the control of the village and surrounding areas.

Nangarhar Province:

Maidan Wardak Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted a suicide attack against the Afghan National Army’s base in Nirkh district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that “eyewitnesses” saw over 30 killed elements, while the Afghan National Police’s spokesman for Maidan Wardak Province, Naqibullah Amini stated that four elements were killed by the attack. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the attack was “in retaliation for the martyr and bloodshed of the tens of innocent defenseless civilians including children and women.”

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan Local Police’s checkpoint in Dahman area of Shindand district. Two elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and two wounded in the encounter, while the remaining elements withdrew from the area. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan Local Police’s positions in Shahrak district, reportedly capturing two villages from the latter. Similarly, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured an Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Razmalmanj area of Chahar Sada district, after killing three soldiers and forcing the remaining elements to withdraw from the checkpoint.

Daykundi Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reported that the Afghan National Security Forces withdrew from two checkpoints in Tamzan area of Gizab district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly captured the two checkpoints and large surrounding areas.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Muqur district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two Afghan National Police’s posts in the city of Ghazni. Six elements of the Afghan National Police were killed in clashes for the posts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized three assault rifles, two heavy machine guns, and large quantities of ammunition from the posts.

Paktika Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s convoy in Sar Hawza district, killing one and wounding two soldiers, as well as destroying three vehicles with RPGs.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten, wounded 11, and arrested nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three fighting positions in Bala Buluk district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Bala Buluk district and destroyed a vehicle with an RPG.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded 17 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khas Urozgan and Tarinkot districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan repelled Afghan National Security Forces’ offensive in Talani area of Tarinkot city, killing 11 and wounding 13 elements, as well as destroying three vehicles.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shah Joy district. One of the three killed elements is the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Naeem.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s vehicle in Sanglan area of Washir district. The explosion killed Afghan National Army’s commander Azizi and another element of the army, as well as wounded five elements.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Jogram area of Maywand district, reportedly killing four and wounding two soldiers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan National Army’s commander, Abdul Salam in Shekarpur Darwaza area of the 3rd Police District in the city of Kandahar.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers reportedly killed six and wounded five elements of the Afghan National Army in Maywand and Arghistan districts.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
